  • Heinrichus Schutz.. optimum est.

  • Outstanding and mighty. For me thats the perfect balance between orchestra and choir. Excellent job in varying the Alleluia-cadenzas at the end. More stuff please and greetings from Hamburg/Germany.

  • grazie da cesena, italia

  • Tears going down face....

  • A marvelous presentation with excellent vocal soloists and period orchestra. I loved it.

  • Absolutely beautiful! My church choir sang Psalm 150 (of traditional Chinese melody) recently, too! Welcome to my channel and give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ! Greetings from Hong Kong, China!

  • Beautiful! Mystical!

  • Despite looking like Colonel Sanders, Heiny did a bang-up job on this. Thumbs up.

  • Imagines moverunt quam musica.

  • THIS IS GREAT!!

  • well done!!

  • Wow!!!

  • Never heard this Schütz psalm before. I must say I find the orquestation quite interesting, it must have been really exiting seeing and hearing the live performance. Bravo!

  • Eine wahnsinnig gute Aufnahme. Gute Aussprache, gute Abmischung. Traumhaft.

    Danke fürs Hochladen.

  • Great!

  • Schutz is not only important for his own beautiful art, but it led directly into the influence of Bach, Handel, and Mozart.

The strong Venetian influence is obfious here.

  • I love Schütz. That is the best recording from non Germans.

  • 7:48 hilarious picture! thanks for posting thsi great music.

  • Schutz was a powerhouse composer, who blended the styles of the German early baroque and renaissance with lessons he learned in Italy from Monteverdi. A truly learned musician!

  • @Cantormatis He studied with the Gabrielis in Venice, because a Prince, Landgraf Moritz der Gelehrte von Hessen-Kassel, discovered and sponsored him. Back in the day politician were good for something...

  • What a piece. Well perpetrated, Heinrich.

  • Schütz is very-very great!

  • GRAN COMPOSITOR DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS

  • Grandissimus compositor omniorum aevorum! :)

  • I am a transcendentalist-pantheist-atheist and I approve this messsage LOL!

  • um yeah....we'll go with that..........

  • Also, I transcend and include wisdom from organized religions in the integral philosophy that I adhere to and am not thrown off by the unsubstantiated claims of any religion, bcasue these claims have a cognitive basis. The organizing of these religions is unsubstantiated to a degree. The music and spirit of authentic spiriuality is better than fundamentalism. Alleluia!

  • Are you sure you're not an Anglican? ;)

  • It dure did seem like it LOL.

  • Ive sung that with my choir, led by Hirvo Surva. But he leads 4 choirs total LOL. I have, since 2007, stopped singing in this choir I was part of for 8-9 years, due to school.

  • LOBET DEN HERREN

  • "Alles was atem hat, lobet den HERRN." Ist das nicht richtig? Bitte hilfe mir. Im Anfang, veilleicht es ist HERREN.

  • Doch es ist richtig. ;-)

  • @msholmes HERRN is the same like HERREN. It's possible to use the short version. There is no difference in the meaning.

  • @msholmes Alles was Odem hat, lobe den Herrn!Halleluja! So stehts in miner bibel..

  • Kao što sam već rekao, veoma cenim rad majstora H. Šica. Ovo delo imam na CD-u, ali izvođenje nije ni blizu ovoga... I have this piece on cd, but performance is not so good as this. It s wery "bright".

Thank you, and greetings from Serbia.

  • Many thanks, from Washington.

  • As ever, I really appreciate your positive comments! Thank you.

  • beautifully done! Masterful voices! Excellent work by the orchestra as well. Outstanding performance.
