I remember being on the floor of the shop curled up covering my face with my hands and my father whipping me with a rope, an extention cord, a garden hose or whatever was available to him. I would go to the bathroom and take off my shirt and look in the mirror and see the red welts that looks like snakes. My Dad was a respected elder and leader in the church. He is 88 in the nursing home hitting the nurses now.....as far as I know he never repented.
