  • Maybe he just doesn't *get* the 'that's what she said' jokes......

  • I find it ironic that the "Promoted Video" in the recommended list is "Wife, Mother, Mormon"

They're even tryin to steal people away here...

  • Is Mark Calvinist?

  • @spacitydrummer4JC yes. Quite the figure in calvinism too.

  • @spacitydrummer4JC

    He calls himself one.

  • That didn't really answer the question at all...

  • @CCrockett86

    My thoughts exactly.

  • i hate that my ex boyfriend would say that annoying joke

  • He thinks they're laughing at his jokes but they're laughing at how long it took a pastor to find Ephesians

  • @SagesOfSeraphim

No, they're laughing because one of the "Christians" in the audience used the joke "that's what she said" when Mark referred to "breaking in his new Bible."

  • @SagesOfSeraphim ever so subtle, you can hear a guy in the audience respond to the pastor saying "..we'll break in in tonight.."...the audience member responded "that's what she said"....that's what they're laughing at lol

  • Why are there so many different religions?

  • @doireallyneed1 because humans like to make up lies...Christianity is not a religion.

  • @beto88keys,

It's fine if you mean to differentiate Christianity from other Faiths with the concept of works versus grace but think you must still accept the label of religion.

  • @doireallyneed1 your point was to discredit all religions (and include Christianity) on the basis that there are many different ones...I was anticipating that fallacy and refuting it. I don't have to accept anything that isn't true...I'm sorry. You cannot have as a conclusion that just because there are many religions, all of them are wrong...can you imagine if we applied that logic to any other areas of our life?

  • @beto88keys,

I guess I can see why you would think that but actually I don't wish to discredit all religions. I am truly interested in the question of why all cultures, without exception, have a fundamental element of spirituality at the core. We all seem to seek the divine and I think that must be significant.

I would, however, challenge a mode of belief that claims to have all the answers to the exclusion of all else.

  • @doireallyneed1 that's what truth is - the exclusion of all else that contradicts it...you have to admit that it is at least plausible that Christianity may be true, since it makes radical claims no other belief system does. You don't have to be so politically correct as to run away from truth just because it excludes people.

  • @beto88keys,

Also, I must insist that even if the particular sect of Christianity that you are speaking from is, in fact, the one-and-only correct interpretation of the infallible Word of God - it is still, by definition, a religion.

  • @doireallyneed1 that's the definition it is given, not what it claims to be...

  • @doireallyneed1 but I can see you are earnestly seeking. I"ll pray that God will open your eyes. Salvation is a beautiful gift that only comes through Jesus.

  • @doireallyneed1 Your knee-jerk pedantry regarding the word of God, doesn't make you correct

  • @IdaSputum,

Do you mean that my insistence that all sects of Christianity fall under the definition of religion is nit-picking? It can't be pedantic to want to stick to the accepted definitions of terms, can it?

  • @doireallyneed1 Accepted by who? Pharisees types like you? They weren't right and neither are you.

  • @IdaSputum,

    Sorry for the late reply.

Well, I'm not a Pharisee (unless you have an alternate definition of that word, too). My Gage Canadian dictionary reads:

"Belief in or worship of a God or Gods"

I'm not trying to get you all riled up but I really don't see what grounds you might exclude Christianity on. Can you take some time to explain it to me?

  • @doireallyneed1 Here you go again, you conveniently omit the formal procedural 'rules' that are part and parcel of the problem with 'Pharisees', in the Bible and their style of 'worship of God /Gods'. Those rules had nothing to do with God and everything to do with pompous men

  • @IdaSputum,

I guess you are saying that the Pharisees had it all wrong because their focus was on the procedural side of things and less with the spiritual. I don't know too much about them other than they were the Jewish religious leaders at the time. Are you comparing me to them metaphorically because you don't like how I maintain that "belief in or worship of God" applies to all forms of worship?

I'm not trying to antagonize you but I don't understand why you think in doesn't apply.

  • @doireallyneed1

    Yes, Christianity is a religion.

  • @TheObservationDeck

true christianity is not religion...jesus hates relgion btw...true christianity is about a relationship

  • @hatfieldadam

    define "religion."

  • @hatfieldadam said "Jesus hates religion"

No, Jesus hates hypocrisy and false religion but to say that Christianity is either religion or relationship is to create a false dichotomy. It's both.

"pure and undefiled religion before God and the father is this: to visit orphans and

widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world" James 1:2

  • i dont understand, so he's saying christians can be mean to people that are diferent religions??

    that doesnt seem very good

  • THIS IS SERIOUSLY WHAT GOD SAYS IN HIS WORD!!!

  • well done, im glad that instead of arguing with her he just showed a bible verse which completly counteracted her statement, forcing everyone to think;"either the bible is wrong, or she is"

  • bla blah blah affair.... thats what she said

  • @thebeatlesarecrap "I can accept that unlike weak-minded individuals such as you"

Hee hee.. that's funny because the way I see it, it takes a weak minded individual to believe that they are meaningless and reasonless... Well let me correct that. Not "weak"minded... no no, more like absent minded...lol. You're funny. :)

  • I don't think swearing is a sin I think it's more How you use it like if I'm joking around with my friends I swear and also it adds emphasis to words but you never know I might be wrong

  • The helll.....

  • im obsessed with thats what she said jokesss!!!!

  • fuck you

  • adultery ~ "The voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and someone other than his or her lawful spouse. "

    .

Doesn't apply to two single people Mark.

  • totally got caught up in you tube and ran acrost this video and i have to say that after reading the bible i have never seen anything about bloody tampons is this guy for real???? cus i think hes a jack ass and would love to punch him in his face!!!!!

  • @tbts69 i agree. he is kind of a jackass. but, he said the verse that's from. isaiah 64:6. except isaiah referred to it as "dirty rags." but that's what he meant in the original translation

  • @tbts69 He's talking about Isaiah 64:6. "Filthy rags" apparently is an archaic translation of a word that refers the undergarments of a woman on her period.

  • Christians are already in a cult.

  • thank you! it's not funny anymore it's fuckin annoying!

  • why is screwing around with firecrackers in the video responce lol

  • and it has absolutely nothing to do with offense. I doubt God cares. It's more about the fact that He cares about how we speak and conduct our lives and words.

I am sorry YOU took offense to what I said before.

God being Jealous for us, is not how you took it. God is Jealous in a good way for us, He LOVES us and wants to be the center of our hearts and lives. He doesn't want things like coarse joking to take the place or drive us from Him. He is jealous for YOUR heart. He wants your love.

  • @andheartabandoned are you familiar with sam harris? You should look up his videos, good stuff, and thought provoking.

  • @numbersCH31vs17 Not really, I bought a book of his awhile ago but haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I definitely will though. Thanks!

  • @andheartabandoned Well said. I'd be a little upset if my wife wasn't the bit jealous for me... Or if my own children weren't either. It's just a part of love to be jealous. But like everything... there is a positive and negative angle. Jealousy can also be a fatal sin, so be weary. Our enemy walketh about, seeking whoever he may devour. (Is that how it goes? Lol)

  • @TruthOverFact Thank you! I appreciate that. Agreed, there are so many verses warning us against it. I personally think God is the only one who can pull it off. ;) I think it is 1 Peter 5:8 you are referring to. Solid verse.

    2 Corinthians 11:2

I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him.

  • take it up with God. He wrote the Bible. Mark is just reading it.

  • @thebeatlesarecrap Why are you watching this video?

  • I was enjoying the message till he got to the bit about how what he was saying "didn't apply to other religions." His interpretation that Paul was talking to a group of Christians and so his instructions didn't apply to how they spoke to non Christians seems like a pretty thin pretext for exclusion. I get where he's coming from with that conclusion, but it seems to me that he's adding something to the scripture that isn't there. Be kind to everyone.

  • “The Bible says there isn't supposed to be crude joking or corrupting talk” LOL! That’s true! But the punch line here is that Mark Driscoll is gonna try to teach his congregation that! This coming from the childish twit who blasphemed God, mocked Noah, and countless other sacred things in scripture in his ridiculous 'sermon' on humour. Get real. Practice what you preach you 41 year old BOY or step down and shhhhhhhhh!! (LOL! Just joshing bro!)

  • if anyone has to ask a guy what to believe then they need to gain some intelligence.

  • @RedneckChexMix THANK YOU!!!

  • Wha...?? What is he talking about with "making fun of" anyone who is of a different religion? The Bible says to love your enemies; to bless those who curse you. I Peter 3:15 says to be respectful when talking to others about why you are a Christian (and it did not specify if they were of a different faith).

I am only saying this out of love, but be wary of Driscoll's words. His teaching is really sketchy...

  • Speak kindly to your fellow Christians. But fuck all those other heathens. That's what I got out of this video. Is it just me, or is this guy a total douche?

  • i can't stand cults. islam, scientology, judaism, mormanism, christianity... any of them.

  • @jdavis8919 what about Shuake?

  • @jdavis8919 i like trolling videos sometimes too

  • @ajohndoe17 dude me too!

  • 4:14 That's what she said.

  • @burningringofire22 No she didn't, I was there.

  • Comment removed

  • As far as being kind to people, I don't see why some of you are attacking Driscoll. He tells the truth. Sometimes you have to poke fun of people to show them how screwed up their view on something is, or else they'll never see it. Read the gospels. Jesus did it all the time to the scribes & Pharisees. I know a lot of things in my life that I saw differently that if someone hadn't pointed it out making fun of how ridiculous it was, I would've never changed. Thank God for people who aren't wimps.

  • ATTENTION ATHEISTS: Do you guys randomly search for Christian videos to argue with Christians that there's no God? If you truly believed there were no God, you would care less & would be spending your time doing something completely different than arguing with us. You have God's law written on your heart... you're not fooling anyone. And you know for a fact that it's bull crap to believe that everything came from nothing. If there's no God, then life is meaningless and you're here for no reason.

  • @vintagetheology i search for christian videos because i have some down time and am looking for entertainment?

  • @vintagetheology

No it's just interesting to observe how ridiculously ignorant Christianity is. Don't be a hypocrite; I'm sure at one time or another you've watched a video on Atheism and debated against it. What's wrong with philosophical/intellectual debating? All it does is reinforce one's own ideas and challenge others. Oh, I know, Christians fear logic that challenges their beliefs so they want to live in a bubble.

  • @xxESPx "Oh, I know, Christians fear logic that challenges their beliefs so they want to live in a bubble." No, maybe we just hate arrogance and ignorance. Stop your hypocrisy. You can't make a universal judgement on Christians especially when you're the ignorant and arrogant one

  • @oscarmarin1995

    Don't even talk about ignorance.

  • @xxESPx Why not?

  • lol, this used to be me! Till one day, after years of baiting for argument, I looked up and said, what am I battling against? Now, I believe.

  • @vintagetheology That's a cool opinion, bro

  • @ShullofFit Nice come back. You sure got him there.

  • @GuitarGuy22221 Don't call it a come back...

  • @vintagetheology I simply enjoy venting my stress by arguing with people with whom I disagree strongly.

  • @vintagetheology As if Christians don't go on Atheist videos and proselytize.

  • Oh. My. God. He's actually saying that it's ok to treat non-Christians badly... fuck him.

  • @EmbryW hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha dude, you make me laugh

  • @EmbryW that's actually not what he said.

  • I'm trying really hard to be open-minded about this, but I honestly lol'd when he said "Made up on the spot"

    Respect for the Ren impression

  • soooo being kind to one another translates into being kind to only christians?

  • @grrduh the bible is really clear on being loving to all; If I'm thinking the same part of the video as you were talking about, I think he meant to portray that despite that love, false teaching is to be rebuked. The New Testament constantly talks about false teachers - it's a huge thing but it doesn't mean we don't love non-Christians.

  • IM AN ATHIET BITCH!!!

  • @Bigmouthhellheadsymp whats an athiet? fail..

  • @amERIKanLove aha i knoooow :P

  • @Bigmouthhellheadsymp Athiesm is a delusion, its the act of rejecting something.

  • @gilbert4321 I reject the church of scientology. am i also delusional?

  • @ilikelazers Scientology? what is that the new name for evolution these days?

  • @gilbert4321 hahahahahahaaha, ur obviously really stupid so ill just leave u alone

  • @gilbert4321 your mothers the act of rejecting something. :3 go athiesim

  • @gilbert4321 I reject god, and say he is fucking FAKE

  • @Bigmouthhellheadsymp wow! you're hardcore!

  • @SteakFark I know huh bro?

  • @Bigmouthhellheadsymp that's what she said

  • @Bigmouthhellheadsymp Like like like like like!

  • @mhcseattle I think you should be helping non-Christians see Jesus, not mocking them to their face or behind their back...

I listened to a sermon once and the guy was funny and made a point of peoples foolishness but he did it at the expense of pushing people away from Jesus. Who want to be friends with someone like that. I later found out it was Mark Driscoll.. He needs to be more humble (as with all Christians). He also mocked and judged other Christians. He needs to be careful.

  • @Disciple1818 I really like Mark. But yeah, he needs to be careful. I remember him saying in this video that what? That humerously joking about other groups of believers/non-believers is "biblical" Damn Mark... you're losing me now.

  • i can't believe mormons would actually dress up and pretend to be pastors and answer questions in the foyer of a christian church.

    like, that's disgusting

in all honesty, i'm sure anyone with any kind of belief will say that's just wrong and incredibly deceptive.

what kind of person does that. like honestly.

  • "CULT" IS THE OPERATIVE WORD HERE.

    Oh,... oh, the irony.

    And the blatant hypocrisy.

    Meh.

  • There is no God. That's what she said.

  • @Jbeck153 That's why you never trust what she said.

  • he sure loves to mock other people. i can't stand him

  • @bnatrl88 oh, hippocrites.

  • you idiot those are called LDS missionaries and they are not trying to be preachers, they are trying to do the lords work.

  • Why is he so sweaty? LOL. Was probably just fapping to the bible rolf

  • @tfortommyb ..... Are you serious? Dude, he's in a /sweatshirt/ under freakin /stage lights/. You get really sweaty really fast like that. Get a clue.

  • The bible say"O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speake good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh." "Not that which goeth into the MOUTH defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man." Bad word for bad thing is wrong

  • Who wants to join my Church of Video Games?

(if you don't know what this is a reference to, don't bullshit.)

  • that's what she said......

  • "Comedy clubs won't book me, so I'll start a church." - This guy

  • @TheHuntress144 Agreed. This guy does not know how to rightly divide the Word of God. He is lost. A blind guide leading the blind.

  • The fact that he laughs about the jokes at the beginning, then denies them at the end, makes him seem hypocritical.

  • @Tam37739 So, even if Mormons believe that Christ died for their sins, they're not Christians? Also, the bible is taught in LDS churches, not solely the book of Mormon.

  • People need to chill. This video pisses people off, simply because it makes them feel guilty and they want to make excuses to keep making that's what she said/dirty/inappropriate jokes and not feel bad about it. He is right. Sucks if you aren't willing to change or don't want to. But he is. It's a non-negotiable in the Bible. Mark Driscoll is a DUDE.

  • @andheartabandoned yeah that's it. I'm sure the god who created the universe, the one who existed before time, who will exist eternally, with eternal power, who is engaged in an ongoing battle against satan....is offended by "that's what she said" jokes. god is soooo sensitive.

And the bible says god is a jealous god. Really? Jealousy is such a petty human emotion, I know people who've gotten over jealousy. god should go to one of mark's sermons for help with that.

  • Misleading... I thought this would be a Joe Rogan Standup.

  • "people who use the bible to cause great damage"

    how ironic.

  • the hell do you watch the office for then? its all about sex jokes, dirty humor, pranking, etc.

  • no big deal bro. its a joke: designed to make people happy. it helps people. its not wrong at all.

ps The Office is fucking awesome

  • I'm surprised how long it took him, a pastor, to find where Ephesians was!

  • fucking christians srsly.. do whatever the fuck you want.. idiots..

  • @mental613 Haha yea sure that'll help :-P not

  • Why does he condemn the Mormon church as a non-Christian cult? Sad.

  • @xAI4Ax that's because it isn't Mormonism is a Joke. -_-

  • @KuppinCasual Well thought-out answer.

  • @xAI4Ax Well, any sect of Christianity that claims the bible has errors is not Christian as far as i'm concerned. I mean honestly, have you given any thought towards your religion. I don't understand how anyone can be in a religion like that.

  • @KuppinCasual Well if you actually study into the Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic, you will see that the bible is errant, as in spelling or sentence fragments and word usage because of its interpretations. However the bible is infallible, which means it's moral and true underlying meaning besides the things stated above are true. Everything that it states happened and will happen.

  • @jselvrom I know. but the bible is not errant, only the translations out of the Hebrew and Greek are. I have studied into the Hebrew, and I have a Greek friend. the prophecies will happen, just as the bible said, and just like you said. the KJV has errors. but the original manuscripts did not.

  • @KuppinCasual but the thing is though is that they made so many copies of the bible when translating it as it was carefully translated about 99.5% accurate i would say the translation of the Bible is so indeed it is accurate but the spelling and some words would obvoislly be a little different i dont like the NIV as that as some errors when i looked at different translations the most accurate I would say is the ESV:)

  • @xAI4Ax cuz its not monotheisic its says man can become God its a sex cult that why and their false prophet josthpet smith claims america the true holy land and that the bible has errors and their book the book of mormon is god true word pure lies from satan

  • @lion49nfl Where are you getting your information?

  • @xAI4Ax they belive in 3 gods and say man can become god just like god became god and god was once man crazy right and its a sex cult cuz you can have many wives the moromons say its okay yet it breaking a commadantment thou shalr not commit aldurty they belive Jesus vist american indians in 400 ad and the new jerusalem will be in murssior read there belifes and books so you make know truth and not confuse it with lies

  • @xAI4Ax , he says that b/c Mormonism IS a cult. it is not christian. Mormonism does not teach that Jesus IS God. It teaches that Jesus was just a man. It also does not teach that there is one true Holy God, but rather that we can become gods ourselves. That is the antithesis of what the Bible teaches. The fact that Jesus is the Son of God and alsoGod himself AND that God is the One and Only God is the very basis of Christianity. Therefore, Mormonism does NOT = Christianity.

  • @thesouthernangel The basis of Christianity is the concept that Jesus Christ, the son of God, came to Earth, died for our sins, and will come back. Not all sects of Christianity (for example, Catholics and Protestants) believe in the same description of the holy trinity. Jesus was a man on Earth, though he was not 'just' a man(The Mormon church DOES NOT teach that his worth was any less)

  • this guy is awesome

  • love this guy!

  • He was trying SO hard to hold back that smirk when he said the bloody tampon line.

  • @slinkyinawagon No, Mark would have no smirk about such a thing. That comment only goes to show you don't know him, or you are making false assumptions for some strange reason. Now, maybe YOU would smirk at such a thing, but don't slander another by wrongly assuming he would smirk at something.

  • @slinkyinawagon i dont know about that i think what he said was so gross and so taboo that he was waiting on the audiences reaction but bold as brass when it didnt arrive he moved straight on to the poo line

  • This man Is NOT a True Christian!

  • @remusnigga hmm don't make a statement like that unless you can back it up.

  • I like how it took him until 6:00 to actually answer the question.

  • Great answer!

  • IT's Jesaja 64, 5 not 6

     :P

  • He didn't know where Ephesians was..

  • @2:18, he gives us permission to make fun of him. After all, isn't that what he does to all kinds of other Christians (William P. Young, Rob Bell, etc), however flawed they may be? How is "poking fun at them" good for them??? How does that edify??? Sticks and stones AND words hurt and tear down. It sounds like you are justifying your attacks on others by labeling them as "non-Christians," instead of reaching out to them and having an open discussion with them.

  • People are gunna talk how they want and people are gunna say what they wanna say

  • This is awesome! He is right! Can't we make our points without swearing?!? Just wonderin'....

  • TWSS jokes are dumb just my opion

  • @U2beAdict They are...and just jokes in general relating to sexual stuff and that junk, people are so weird thinking that that sexual jokes or the like are funny, ESPECIALLY when they claim to be Christian, as that does not give a good impression on Christian. As Christians, we should be separate from the world, following Jesus, but if things that TWSS jokes and the like come out of our mouths, it's hard to see how we're separate...

  • @natbrain

you just need to get to know the person and stop judging by mere appearance

i doubt you've ever not laughed at a coarse joke

i wouldn't say coarse joking is okay or right, but i know its frowned upon in the Bible.

also, sometimes people say eph 4:29 relates to swearing because it might "offend " other people..

however Paul later says we are not on this earth to please people.

so if a person got offended by the fact i swear, they need to get over themselves

its not about them or us

  • @hunter7754 one of the things Paul also mentioned, basically, is to step into their shoes and see from their point of view. Being obnoxious and saying to a Christian that swears "Hey that's not okay, that's not Christlike" is not really standing up for Christ. Rather, show them your different by not swearing yourself. Don't be obnoxious, people will think you're weird. I'm fine if people hate me for loving Jesus, but not if it's for the wrong reason (extreme religious, serious, obnoxious, etc)

  • 347 dislikes :( its' ok Mark, preach the word of God (2 Timothy 4:1-5)

  • PASTOR MARK, YOU ARE RIGHT ON! KEEP THE FAITH AND KEEP PREACHING THE UNADULTERATED WORD OF GOD. THERE ARE THOSE OF US OUT HERE PRAYING FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE ON THE FRONT LINE PROCLAIMING AND UPHOLDING THE BLOOD STAINED BANNER OF CHRIST.

  • @icdattoney

    ALL CAPS = Attention whore.

You might think your opinon is much more important and should be larger than everyone elses. I'm here to inform you that you're wrong. If anything, it annoys people, which isn't good for conveying any message.
