  • your position looks great! and you did a great job staying with nate too! I love watching Nate and your improvement!

  • Hey I think you look great and cute horse! kepp up the good work I just started jumping and I love it! :)

  • Hey you look awesome but would I would say is wait for the horse to jump you out of the saddle and then go into your two-point, also it might help if you lengthened your stirrups and really concentrated on keeping your heel down... alot of no stirrups also helps this

  • Hey just a suggestion, make sure the horse jumps the jump before you do, and also try to get your leg under your body because when your legs go forward it throws your balance out and i know it hard for like two years straight i used to fall off every time i did jumping, and good luck and its great that your improving

  • You are doing a great job! When your jumping try pushing your butt back so it wont be infront of the saddle! :)

  • you look great!

  • @horsechick46 thnak you! yes iis getting better

  • i like watching your improvment! youve gotten so much better! your releas has improved so much!!

  • @hunterjumpersgirl oh well thanks so much!

  • nice video :) i think u looking nice on him ,

  • @poolsproperty yes i agree!

  • Nice work Jeff!

One HUGE improvement I saw was your hands are in a much better position which seemed to fix quite a few things in your two point.

And I understand how hard it is to readjust to bigger jumps when you haven't done them in a while ;)

    Nice work, keep it up!

  • You're looking great Jeff! I understand how hard it is to get the feel of bigger jumps when you haven't done it in a while ;)

    Nice work, keep it up!

  • @JtaimeMusique thank you! shelly said i was fine! but maybe im being to hard on myslef but i do need more practice!

  • someone already said this but check out judge my ride.net, helped me out sooo much!

  • @quarterperch alright will do

  • eq smech! your riding safley, correctly, and efficiently and you are your horse are a great pair! and even the best riders in the world are always improving! and strengthening your position and leg can mostly be done on the flat :)

  • @icehorse91 thanks so much! yes im not very good at my eq over jumps i really wanna focus on height just getting over them quickly without worrying about how i look but thats just not the way it works! oh well though!

  • Anyway, I know that was long and I know you hate critiques, but honestly, I love to see riders improving their skills and I love watching you and Nate. You have a trainer, but I also have a trainer and I love taking critiques from knowing folks (:

  • @hanoverianjumpers101 okay thanks for that ! and i will need more work and practice and things will get beter over time!

  • ...I think you'll find that lowering your heel will be much easier. I think your leg has slid so far back because you're throwing yourself over the jump. Instead, let Nate come up to meet you. Your back is ALMOST flat, and I think your release is AMAZING. Btw, Nate is PERFECT. Like omg I wish my horses would be like that.

Also, visit judge my ride . net and you can post videos, pictures, links, and they are SO nice and have helped me make my form much better. They are A -rated judges.

  • That being said, take a look: h ttp ://sky ridergrl .devia ntart .com /art/ Equitation-Comparison -254517047(no spaces, and I promise I'm not a stalker.)

The rider on the left (a jumper!) has the stirrup on the ball of his foot, and his leg looks soft and relaxed, just behind the girth. His back is nice and flat. Look to your stillshot, and you'll see that your leg has slipped back considerably and your iron is almost touching the heel of your boot. Place it further toward your toe and...

  • You have such a natural talent and are getting better with every video you post, but I think you should be challenged more! A few years ago, I rode with every trainer I could find at least once, and it has helped me see different viewpoints of riding, and I am able to critique myself better than I would have been otherwise.

  • your position is looking great! I agree it will take time to gain back! I went to a 5 day show and didnt ride much after and lost all rideability from showing so many days and not riding but my instrutor says every show you lose a little rideability!:) but great job and the jump at 36 seconds looks great!:) just watch your leg sorry if this sounds like critique just telling ya:)

  • @LovinHunterRider thank you! i agree with you! my leg is a problem! but yes the jumping position is getting better slowly i just feel i might be bumping him or landing to early

  • @PNpanther2015 i do the same it just takes time to fix!:) and try LOTS of no stirrup to strengthen your leg! I noticed it helped me a lot and for two point try no hands! my instructor made me and it really helped my two point and leg:)

  • Your form at 0:37 is the form of a Jumper, just not so much the leg at the height(:

  • @LiveBreatheJump yes! i perfer jumpers! although he is a perfect hunter horse andd im not a good eq rider so jumpers are working fine and yes leg is starting to slip agreed

  • @PNpanther2015 Jumpers is where its at!

  • 0:38 is great, your leg just slipped back a bit, his form looks pretty perfect though! you guys are improving so much :)

  • @dreambigeq oh thanks yes! agree need leg work and 2 point work! also my hands are turning in!

  • @PNpanther2015 yeah just practice no stirrup work or something :)

  • good job jeff ! pretty soon youll be jumping like me(; haha , just kidding .

  • @jumpmysox haha thanks! and oh yeah i know your my idol
