Chamberlain should have recused himself the minute war was declared because he was a peace negotiator, not a wartime consigliere. After all, Churchill was booted out of office immediately after Germany fell because the British people did not want him to make the peace. I believe the slogan was, "Cheer Churchill, vote Labour."

No, I do not own them all, but any good public (or university) library will have the complete set. Amazon & Ebay are good bets to buy them. The thing that we risk by posting too many is to tick off the copyright holders. As it is, these are seen as a promo for the whole 26 hour series. Plus, it takes time and effort. Time is getting harder! Thanks for the post!

The biggest problem of this serie was obvious. It had too much western and british perspective. Perhaps one thing why Finland never asked western help was because finns noticed how soft british and frence were. Germany was not very strong in winter 39-40. But they operated very effectively to play west out from Scandinavia.

OH! I almost forgot - THE BEST way to see if you want to buy the whole series is to rent them from Netflix/blockbuster. Netflix has the entire series, and with a cheap one month membership - or even free trial, you can see them all!
