  • haha these guys r some o them good ol boys.

  • Love this shit.. I heard of them about a year after II was released and loved that CD.. forgot about em recently.. untill i heard IV was out.. didn't like the sound of that 1 too much.. so i just bought II and III of amazon.. ill be getting the first and fourth eventually though.. gotta give them both a chance especially IV.. im sure its good in its own way..

    but this song is catchy!!

  • 1 hater? this song deserves 0!!!

  • well it seems like MatSOD have become pussies.

  • @MrWeglwegl how does a soft song make them pussies? its a good song dude. he can sing well.

  • @MrWeglwegl Just because it's not heavy doesn't mean they are pussies. You're a fucking idiot.

  • @MrWeglwegl Or Dallas grew up to be a man, and got married and became a father.

  • !!!...A long time coming, but now i'm running back home...!!!

  • @indietone14 Of course Dallas is awesome! He was the screamer for underOATH during the changing of times! xD

  • my boyfriend quoted lyrics from this song on his blog refering to a picture of us, i google the lyrics find the song and cried. This song is beautiful :) and i need to listen to there other songs goooood band very gooooood band :)

  • only just heard of this band and i recon it is one of the best i have heard in a long time

  • One person is too deaf to "Listen Close"

  • @rjstrange I think I know that person lol, no, seriously, I know who that person is

  • Im just discovering this great band. Im not christian, quite the oposite, i dont have a good opinion about religion, especially christian-catholic (reigning religion in my country) but icant care less if Maylene its christian or muslim... They are great, and i really like their lyrics, christians or not. This its not cheap proselytism, its rebel christianisism. Religious people are short on rebellion,; its good to see some believers, facing the world thorugh ther faith, but in their own way...

  • People just can't fuckin enjoy good music without having a damn argument let's grow up here guys

  • Who gives a shit about religion. I'm an atheist. I like The Showdown, Skynyrd, Maylene, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and all kinds of musicians known for their 'christian beliefs'. I could care less about their religion and so should you guys. Their music is the shit. That's why we all keep coming back.

  • And they are Christians!!!

  • nice song, big show movie music...

  • this is for sure my favorite love song of all time.

  • too bad this quite nice band is dependent on a crippled-stone aged religion like christianity in order to sell their records...

  • @Anodynede Who says they're dependent? So when a band believes in God and makes music that is fitting to their beliefs then they depend on Christianity to sell records?

  • @Anodynede Maylene isn't necessarily unpopular, but they're not huge sellers either, so i'm not buying your argument at all. the only thing they lean on for sales is the music. they're just not afraid to put out the fact that they're Christians, even though they get crap for it from people like you.

  • @Anodynede you're retarded sir.

  • This song is dope

  • This song is dope

  • such a simple yet great song

  • @hobokajobo i can say the same thing - it's only your opinion it sucks. To millions of others it doesnt :)

some people just don't know about this band - that's why i called it rediculous

    :)

  • whoever said christian southern rock/metal has never heard this band!!

  • dang that's a good song.. he's got a really good voice

  • Wow this is a nice change. 1 Person accidentally clicked the thumbs down.

  • Wow this is a nice change.

  • I just got a brand new Jeep Wrangler yesterday, I drove it around for the first time today without the top on, and listened to this song while driving down the highway. I seriously don't think I could have been any happier....it was amazing to hear this.

  • Too Tall Grizzly is a five-piece, hardcore-influenced rock band

from central Connecticut with a freshly released EP, “Stream

of Unconsciousness,” on Broken English Records.

    Fans of Gallows,

Every Time I Die, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, and The

Chariot will definitely want to give Too Tall Grizzly a listen.

  • You know... what bugs me the MOST... is the people who don't realize that over time, a band is going to go through at least one metamorphosis, one transformation. Bands mature over time, and as they mature, so will their music. I, for one, happen to love all of their songs, but this one really captivates me.

  • @xFearIsAPlaceToLive you are right! every band matures with the time, and MATSO is not the exception.

  • If I hear one more person say these guys are a "Lynard Skynyrd cover band" im gonna start killing kittens.

  • i think if anyone ever sang this song to me, my heart would immediately be stolen.

  • I luv this song and I only searched this band bcuz if Demi lovato I no it sunds sad but it's true anyway once I heard this n sum of thier other stuff I was lke wow n I lke dem

  • What the FUCK! When did maylene turn into a lynard skynard/Kansas cover band!? This is the gayest thing i've ever heard.

  • @guitarXhero1245

I thought the same thing.. -.-

  • @guitarXhero1245 Eff off buddy. Go lick your balls in shame!

  • @Magnak You've obviously just never listened to this bands earlier albums if you actually like this.

  • @guitarXhero1245 You've obviously just never removed your head from up your ass.

  • @Magnak nope. This album is just gay. Why do you think nobody listens to them anymore. two or three years ago if this band would have played scream the prayer everyone would have stayed and watched them. This year literally 95 percent of the crowd left after for today. Cuz this band sucks ass now.

  • @guitarXhero1245 Yeap... you just proved me right... your head is probably half way into your intestines by now.

  • @guitarXhero1245 Aslong as you accounted for 95% of the audience im sure they did. I have been a fan of the band since not long after they released the first album which i loved, the second i felt was a bit too soft but this album is a perfect balance of what maylene is. Amazing southern metalcore.

  • im not diggin this new stuff. i think this band got worse and worse, their first album was greattttt i love the slummy dirty style they used to have

  • This song is amazing. I love all their songs, but something about this song just gets me more than the rest. This and Old Iron Train are some of the best songs I've heard.

This song is so summery, it reminds me of summer at least the instrumentals tho. I wanna see them live so bad. :(

  • @happybassist yessss!! they are awesome!!!

  • @happybassist I've seen them twice a was fucking epic each time lol

  • @happybassist it reminds me of summer too. me and my bud you used to drive all through town blarin this cd evryday in the summer

  • @happybassist it got me too. it still does. i found out the backstory to this. it's about dallas' divorce. listen close to the the lyrics.

  • @happybassist Old Iron Hills not train

  • @djsinis I know what its called :P I forget what made me type Train.

  • fuckin best song EZZZVER!!!!!

  • this song makes me so sad when i hear it, it reminds me of heartbreak. i really love it tho, i love all their songs. chalk one one up for the fucking south!

  • love this song....one of my favs by maylene....its soo frackin awesome

  • i met dallas taylor in chicago when they came through :] I had the pleasure of meeting him and talking to him and gave em a hug he was such nice guy very cool and happy :] i hate musicians who get really cocky and dont give a shit about fans. Dallas is NOTHING like that. Hes awesome :]

  • @indietone14 Wow really?? u r so lucky!!

He is a real original guy too, got the concept for the band as a kid with his grandfather lfrom the ma barker recreation in lake weir outside of Ocala ( our home town) I suggest seeing them live its great to meet them and hear them play

  • How can this song ONLY have 15,000 views?!?! this is rediculous - it should be millions of views! this song is the best I've ever heard in my lifetime.

  • @Passionofawriter u are absolutely RIGHT!!

  • @Passionofawriter haha i love how from one year ago it was only 15,000 views to now just 62,077 :)

  • i fell in love with this song first time i heart it - one of the best songs i have ever heard in my whole life. I am officially a MATSOD fan!!!

  • @xoxolexixoxoful Wow haha no problem, good for demi lovato, this song is amazing

  • I did too lol

  • @xoxolexixoxoful haha that song DOES sound a bit weird but I also searched it cuz of Demi..hahaha

  • @xoxolexixoxoful its not stupid at all, welcome to camp Maylene & the Sons of Disaster, its always good to see new fans of good bands appear :D

  • @xoxolexixoxoful epppic fail

  • such an amazing diverse band

  • Yeahhhh, it's amazing

  • yeah! but, is it dallas?! i heard that it was somebody else

  • its Dallas Taylor! the same .lol dont worry

  • Catchy dad's

  • very religious charged lyrics but the guitars are amazing and the voice incredible

  • not religious charged at all, its a love song thats it

  • exactly!

  • It's different from their first few albums, but I like it. It's nice and calm. It's a change but it's a good change I think. Let a band experiment for once. Yeesh people.

  • I think the same........Great BAnd

  • I love it he sounds like steve earle

  • ;) haha

  • They have amazing shows. Got to meet every member and even hugged Dallas Taylor. ((: I'd love to see them again, especially since I haven't seen them perform III yet; however, this is one of my favorite songs by them at the moment. It has a powerful message that most understand. I love it. <3

  • Really! you met them! great!

  • Alright dude, thanks for that. This past May is when I started listening to them, so I haven't really had the time to actually learn about them. But seriously, if these guys had solos like every song, they would be my second favorite band (behind Pantera), and their sound is just so unique and cool, I'd just hate for them to lose it.

  • What's weird is, yeah, this is such a good song, even though this isn't the Maylene I'm used to. But can we all admit they kinda sold us out on III? I mean, it's just as good as MATSOD and II, but Dallas has lost the hardcore edge I came to know and love. Still, these guys are so fucking badass.

  • How is it selling out to do what you want? I've talked to the guys, and as far as I know, this is EXACTLY what they want to do. Create a great hard rock album with rock and roll influences just dripping from the corners of the CD case.

  • True that shit, dude, but what I meant by that was that I'm used to the Underoath Dallas, not the Maylene Dallas. It was just a stupid post in my part, I meant that they're just kind of losing the metal part of southern metal. I'll still listen to these guys anyways, I'm still a huge fan, but it's just different. In a good way.

P.S. Your a lucky motherfucker for getting to meet them. I was going to go to one of their concerts but it was rained out, even though I had a backstage pass.

  • Oh, I just walk up to them after their set late last year. I was asking them about their next album, and they were very quick to point out what they wanted to do with it. Plus, I could already hear it happening. I have no problem with it, it's something different than everything else out there - I'm tired of the same old metalcore/hardcore/etc bands. And if you watch any interviews of these guys, they really don't consider themselves all that "metal".

They're true to their roots, and it shows.

  • @copilottheband totally agree, not everything in life is ***core music

  • Awesome.

  • i like the message in the song

  • good! i like that u like it!

  • MATSOD is the best!!!

  • yeah! rock!

  • awsome band realy good live

  • that's right!

  • I like this song cuz it sounds nothing like them, but it's so good. Ugh! I wanna see them again.

  • i think it sounds exactly like them. the phrasing of the guitar leads and riffs are very reminiscent of their other songs.

  • I saw them with emery!!! It was so awesome, so awesome. They seriously have extreme talent, they played this song too.

  • they are freaking awesome LIVE

  • Maylene is very possibly the sickest band ever. "why does Satan get all the good music?" I don't think he does.

  • n_n !!!

  • @antiprotection369 satan and jesus dont exist, dont let dallas pretend his talent comes from anywhere but his own effort

  • ugh.... they so good its almost not even fair haha

  • haha haha yeah!

  • Best song off the new album.

    Even better live :)

  • ou yeah!!! u r right!!! maylene ROCKS!!

  • Such a SICK band dude!

  • sickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk MAYLENE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!! yeah bro
