That's how it was when it went through Coopers Plains. Only was the storm half way into it when the severe wind gusts hit. Could hear some roofing iron banging but it never got airborn luckily!

Thats a lot of rain in that storm. Quite wild indeed with variable wind gust about. But could that be due to wind funnel around the hills or something where you live in the hilly area?
