  • Beautiful.

  • when Robert Smith and The Cure take hold of you, you never want it to end...

  • Excelente video con un Robert Smith espectacular y como no mencionar a Simon Gallup con un desempeño impresionante..PLAINSONG una obra de arte..alguna vez en Perú ? ojala

  • fucking brill

  • <3 <3 <3

  • My Brother tried to get me to listen to The Cure back in the early '90's and I said "That guy looks weird." Please forgive me Perry and Rest In Peace My Brother and BEST FRIEND!! You were right. THEY ARE THE BEST !!!

  • thanks Lord

  • chingonsísimoooooooooo !!!

  • awesome (gershon)

  • Watching and listening to this just made me shivers, as my mind went back to the Summer of 1989, into the best concert of my life (and I've seen some excellent ones); after the support band, The Cure started with this.

    Purely amazing...

  • Simons Bass..I love it

  • drums sound thin and lifeless... they sound powerful in studio and in concerts from 1989...

  • wonderful, great, sad... for me the very very best ever from Cure! <3 Robert Smith!

  • excactly what i need a this very moment!

  • that is a fkn awesome video.

  • chiudere gli occhi, ascoltare in silenzio e ringraziare infinitamente Mr Robert Smith per averci regalato quest'immenso CAPOLAVORO.... ; )

  • fab-u-lous!

  • This is the song I want playing on my way out of this horrible life

  • @surfsupl

I'd say Untitled is better for that. This is a good song to play when you're taking your baby home for the first time.

  • this is killing me.....smith is a true GOD...saw him a million times and never disappointed

  • I like to listen to this cuising in my1957 Porsche Speedster with the top down on a calm autumn evening. Brings me back to the best memories of my life.

  • BEAUTIFULLY AND PERFECTLY DONE I WAS CRYING THE VERY FIRST TIME I SAW TRILOGY AND EVERYTIME SINCE WHEN THE CURE STOP EXISTING IN THE OUTTER MUSIC LIFE WILL BE ALL MORE THE DIFFERENT IT REALLY BREAKS MY HEART TO KNOW THAT EVERYTHING COMES TO A END IN TECHNICAL TERMS AND I DONT WANT TO LIVE IN A WORLD THEY DONT EXIST IN .THE LYRIC TO THIS IS ALOT LIKE I FEEL FOR THE CURES I FEEL SO DEAD SOMETIMES AND NO MATTER HOW DREADFUL I FEEL THEY PLAY AND ROBERT SINGS IT ALL GOES AWAY THE MOMENT I LISTEN !

  • @SUGARGIRLXO You have good taste in music! -cheers!

  • @SUGARGIRLXO god your going to make me cry...i thought it was just me.....

  • This is honestly the most PERFECT piece of art in existence.

  • The birthday massacre is the The Cure of today. The song "Movie" reminds me a lot to this one.

  • @retinueofmoons - I love The Birthday Massacre ("Red Star" and "Violet", in particular) but The Cure is a lot more diverse. A Birthday Massacre song sounds like a Birthday Massacre song, but (for example) "The Lovecats" and "One Hundred Years" sound like they're being performed by a completely different band... and they were written only a year apart!

(and, ok, the only person who performed on both tracks was Robert. BUT STILL.... ) :)

  • ...sorry for the type....Roger IS reportedly back....my mistake sorry.....

  • @SleepWhenIamDead Dude, you seriously made my day, was getting kind of weird with porl doing the keyboard parts!

  • @MehdiGlz ...I know, they were using backing tracks for some of the songs, like Lovesong and you can hear them in The Only One...I think though that Porl is not in the band...it doesn't look like he is going to play in the Reflections concerts in London, LA, or NYC...

  • ...Roger is not reportedly back in The Cure, he played at Bestival 2011 and made an announcement he was back...I've seen some of the vids and they were incredible, they played to over 50,000 people....they even played "The Catepillar" which was the first time live since 1984 at a live show...Roger will put the nice touches on the next album "The Dark Album", it is going to be great.....

  • 2 people must clean their ears.

  • would kill for a video of this as the openner on last US tour, 2008? Looked like they were floating in space

  • Epic...Beautiful song and simply perfect video.

  • A GEM, A MAGNUM OPUS!

  • This is why Roger has to come back to the fold.

  • Goosebumps. You?

  • @tallkoolone yup

  • ‎"It's just the way I smile" :)

  • I know this is an easy thing to say and you may not believe me, but this is my favourite video on youtube. And I can't imagine that that will ever change

  • Remember I was here.Thai 5:55PM 6/30/2011

  • it does not get better than this... as close to perfection as it can be

  • once again, that's music right there....

  • one of the most underrated bands of all time

  • @aforest86 I wouldn't say the Cure have ever been underrated. I think they've just chosen not to play the game and have remained true to their values and not ever sold out.

  • fenomenal desde españa

  • I love the way Robert comes out and looks at the fans that love him...and he gives that love right back.

  • This is one of the finest video captures of a live performance that I have ever seen. It is perfection par excellence. The Cathedral of Lights set up is spectacular. The song is magnificent. The audience to this concert enjoyed a rare moment in music history. Kudos! Thank you sooo much for uploading this video.

  • Happy Birthday Robert.

    ******04/21/2011******

  • And it's all running out like it's the end of the world

  • Homesick....

  • love you for uploading this.

  • This makes me weep, and I'm not sad. I love love love this song. One of my favorite Cure songs, from my favorite band. Doesn't get any better than this.

  • ....this song is just so ace....one wonders if it would have been possible without Roger...

  • This is not just a song. This is musical religion. This version of Plainsong is way above genius on every level. The crowd witnessed perfection with this performance. This track is one of my personal favourites. It has power, grace, style and emotion, everything that embodies The Cure.

  • This song is pure beauty! There really are no words to express my love for this song! The haunting beauty in this song just gets so deep into my heart and soul. I can get lost in this song and I never want to return. So magnificently gorgeous!! A true masterpiece!! The Cure are truly amazing and so very awesome of a band!! Robert is just beautiful!! ILY Robert!! ♥ Always loved this band, always will!! The Cure forever and always!! :) ♥

  • This is one amazingly beautiful songs!! It has such a haunting feeling to the soul and yet so mesmerizing as well!! This song is so painfully beautiful!! It just lifts my soul up and takes me away when I hear this song. The Cure has a way with doing that to you with their beautiful melodies!! The Cure are truly a phenomenal band of all time! No one can touch them!! Pure perfection!! Robert is a true poetic genius!! Brilliance!! The Cure forever my friends!! ♥♥
