As a Catholic i believe that god does not cause these things as it says in the bible he promised after the flood he would never do anything like that. as my pastor says sin is the root of these things (i dont get how sinning causes earthquakes and hurricanes) but God does not do this it is sin

My sister and her family survived a quake in Northridge CA several years ago. The force was so great that the tupperware in the cupboards was shattered and matches which came out of the box lit after hitting the floor. They were bounced up and down on their beds up to four feet in the air. Her one kif slept through the whole thing.
