  • Wako, Try using Google Chrome instead of Safari. It should work fine.

  • I learn something new from every one of your videos. Thank you again, sir.

  • Have ex-BUG Mac person in Sapporo who could help. If you need. The Blackjack looks good. The SEKI ones were better made. Ah well.

  • what is your blade length limitation again? I carry 9" knife hunting for mulifution.

  • @campcomp00 It is 6 inches. If it has a deep finger choil, the length is measured on its cutting edge. Thanks.

  • Have you used spyderco knives? If so, what's your opinion?

  • @campcomp00 I have ever used 3 pieces of Spyderco knives in deer dressing. Wayne Goddard folder, Stretch folder, and Bill Moran fixed blade. Folders had a thin handle with little ergonomics and were not comfortable at all. Bill Moran was good in ergonomics but its edge was weak in touching bones. So I left all of them. Spyderco edge belly is generally shallow for hunting IMO. They don't seem to include hunting for their designs. Thanks.

  • @virtuovice spydercos, I suppose are more for EDC now that I think of it. I didn't know about no EDC when I was in Tokyo and carried and spyderco delica every where I went along with an extendable baton.... lucky I was never stopped I suppose.

  • @campcomp00 You must have looked like a very good man. Anyway the officer will stop a wrong looking guy and I have never been stopped too. And you seem like an American and if the problem happened, the American embassy would help you unless it was a handgun carry. Thanks.

  • @virtuovice I was a stay at home husband and went to Japanese language school at night. I passed basic level 1 conversation, but the only 1 I get to talk to now is my wife and I'm out of practice...If I had gotten to stay longer than 2 years I"d probably be a lot better now.

  • The showed on the news here in the U.S. of Japan getting a big snow fall. They did not show exactly where. Are you getting this big snow where you are at. I like watching the nature in your videos where you live . It's beautiful.

  • @yloiron I have been living on the west side of Hokkaido island for over 20 years, and this year it is taking the biggest snow fall ever. I hunt on the east side and there the snow is normal. The big cold air from the continent is staying long on Japan now. The temperature in early morning is -15 C every day. Thanks.

  • Thank you so much for your great videos. I am really enjoying your channel. Have you done a review of the Bark River aurora. I would be interested to see what you have to say

    Thanks

  • @wirerat99 I don't have the Aurora. Its belly looks too shallow for hunting. Thanks.

  • I'm looking forward to hearing you opinion of the Bushcrafter. I was almost ready to order another Gunny but I'll wait to hear your thoughts on the Bushcrafter before I decide between them.

  • @cdnsv I cannot wait to compare them too. Thanks.

  • If you like Windows and mac Try installing Virtual Box and install

Windows on it, if its just for browsing.

if you need windows for heavy apps make a windows partition.

    Nice Videos

  • I was wondering why you keep the clips on the folding knives when you are using pouches? It seems as they would be more ergonomic without the pocket clips?

  • @wigglos What you say sounds very correct. Thanks.

  • very informative as usual. did you ever do a video comparing bravo-1 class knives? i can't remember.

  • Hi, you should give the Randall #25 Trapper a try. I am owing both, the Trapper and the 125 BJ, but the 125 is just a cheap copy of the Randall, even in edge retention and cutting abilities, due to the better edge geometrie of the Randalls mix grind of hollow, flat an convex.

    best regards from Germany

    Matt

  • @jackknife68 I watched you used your Randall. Thanks.

  • Going to purchase the Bravo 3V. Anxious to see comparison to A2. Another great, detailed video, always enjoy your analysis.

  • try firefox or opera. i use a macbook pro with lion as well and i dont have any issues on the site.

  • @ScoundrelzNTwK I was going to suggest the same thing. I use Safari mostly, on my MacBook Pro, but sometimes I have to use Firefox to get certain things to work. Chrome is also worth a look, but I haven't tried it yet.

  • @ScoundrelzNTwK Thanks. It seems like taking place only on the Japanese Lion OS. I have 3 Mac computers and all have the Lion OS now. When they had Leopard OS, there was no problem.

  • Another great video Wako, thanks for your insight. Be well my friend.

  • Hey Bud, Another in depth comparison, which is excellent!

Thanks for Sharing, and giving us the benefit of Your experience!

    Charlie

  • out of all your knife collection, which knife is your favorite one. if you had to pick only 1 which one would it be?

  • @Iseekoutthetruth good question, I'm curious too! A JWC45 6 Favorite Knives response would be even nicer imo...

  • @Iseekoutthetruth I already know 3V Bravo1 has supreme edge holding. Unless it is very hard to strop up, I will pick up the swedged rampless 3V Bravo1. I am much used to using it for deer dressing recently because I am going on its endurance test. Thanks.

  • Very interested to see the conclusion of your 3V edge retention test.

  • Hey Wako, I use a Mac and use Google Chrome as my browser and I can navigate the DLT website just fine. Take care, Ben

  • Another excellent review. Thanks Wako. :-)

  • Wako, I feel that it is necessary to have more than one browser on every computer. I downloaded and installed Google Chrome. It's free, and works well when Safari doesn't. Rather than spending time fixing one of them when there are problems or limitations, I just switch to the other. Life is less complicated this way.

  • Just to confirm, the Mac works fine on both of those sites using Safari and Firefox......... tend to prefer firefox....

  • Have a knife day !

  • great knives, really like that blckjack, too bad about the anomaly in the grinding.

  • The Blackjack is my favorite knife to carry in the field. Whether it’s used for bush craft, hunting, or self defense. Model 14 Halo attack is a budget Randall 14 running for $375. The quality is top notch. The price is fair. The blade with a covex edge can handle literally anything. Great video btw. Keep it up!

  • @sauliusipsc .. the Blackjack 125 is a very good knife, but seems bulky for an all purpose knife. I've carried and used the "Fallkniven S1 Forest Knife, VG10, Leather Sheath", since November 2000; when the S1 were approved for use by the Naval Air Warfare Center.

  • @MrSchpankme My favorite is even more bulky - I meant Blackjack Halo Attack.

If I need overall bush craft, survival knife I use Swedish MORA 2000. And give a f... what's approved and where. I look at that from the prospective of my own preference. Cheers mate!

  • @MrSchpankme

I am talking about HALO attack and I'd never change it to any Fallkniven in many respects. Knife us like a gun, everyone has it's own preference. Sorry for late reply.

  • I would like to see the comparison in 3v and d2 steel on a same knife style,I look forward to the bushcraft knife :)

  • Excellent video Wako.

  • That blade also has a fighting profile, as most randall knives have, Sensei WAKO

  • In four years you have surpassed my ability. I am incapabble. Where did you get your initial sharpening knowledge from? Thank you very much Wako.

  • @jambiyaSlaughter I got it from my superior hunter who is a barber. Thanks.

  • Thank you

  • Love the new sheath for the 3v bravo 1...and apparently its edge holding capabilities are superior to A2.

  • Firefox should be fine. Safari can be flaky sometimes. Thanks for the vid!

  • I got he Bushcrafter in DIW Burl from DLT. You will love this knife Wako. Look forward to your review of this knife and you 3v steel evaluation.

  • Wako, if you use Firefox Web browser for Mac, it works fine. I dont like safari much because its never as compatible as firefox

  • @knivesandstuff I've never had a problem with safari

  • my mac works just fine on dlt trading

  • @canadianglock22 i just tested Safari, and it works sometimes, and not others.. the drop down menus are a little flaky. sometimes the dropdown dissapears as you are trying to select a sub category. that may be what is happening to wako.
