You said it. I think Mac plays to the crowd somewhat because some people go to his matches just to see him go off on officials. He'll give them hell over some close calls and the fans love it.

That said, I do think that there are times when he isn't just playing the part. He's still an intense competetor and probably still gets as angry as he did in his prime.
