i saw sweet down in mt clemons a last year for stars and strypes festible with the new line up with steve priest on bass and it was a great show the singer is great
interesting idea.. adding a little reverb/delay to make it vibe with the footage. Think you went overboard though. That slapback is pretty loud and bright.
I am fortunate to have been at the Santa Monica, Ca. show and I can tell you that they tore the place up. Mick was an outstanding drummer, with a very unique drumsolo. If you have seen Queen and thought their vocal harmonies were great well The Sweet is way above them. They played "Desolation Boulevard" start too finish and then played "Action" and were done. The absolute loudest clean sounding concert ever. Andy's lead into "Set me Free" was semi ear splitting.
It's great to see the slightly longer version of this clip than the one that was posted earlier but also disappointing to find that they actually ended the song prematurely. I was always hoping that one day someone would post the whole clip and we'd get the whole song. Still very grateful to you for posting it though. Many thanks!
He WAS the world's best drummer...R.I.P....One of the most overlooked hard rock bands ever....sure they released some real crap, but listen to the heavy stuff and it's amongst the finest you will ever hear...Brian got kicked in the throat but drugs and alcohol was the real downfall to his career.
All of them were first class musicians and singers. Everyone wrote them off as a teenybopper band and failed to see the amazing talent that these guys had. Very few bands could equal the tight precision of their live performances.
Ich höre zum 1 Mal das jemand Brian nach dem Überfall auf die Stimme anspricht. Tolles Video auch wenn es nicht live ist. Leider fehlt auch hier wieder der Rest.Trotzdem super Danke an Sweetglamrock Beate
Only wish more of this edition of Lift Off had survived the archive junkings ! Great that this bit survived though, thanks for posting, a real treat to see.

That night Sammy Hagar opened for them, instead of a band called the nightcrawlers. Their lead singer reportedly had died just a few days pryor.

Sweet när dom låter som Priest.
Snyggt. Gillar speciellt att låten tycks börja långt före värdinnan talat klart. : )

They started as a pop band and ended as an AoR band, but in-between, they did some really heavy stuff, like this one and 'Action'.

...but sadly Brian's voice did deteriorate..probably the reason they didn't reform when offered millions to do so in the 80's!

Cool! I've never heard this one before. The drumming sounds a little like 80s hardcore.

yeh most glam bands copied sweet in this (glam metal bands from the 80s). or tommy lee copied the drums, and everyone copied tommy lee... :S
