  • Nice work, is this done in oils?

  • Thanks, no it's acrylics.

  • Nice painting, reminds me of when I used to watch bob ross back in the day... Do you ever use air brushes in your work?

  • Thank you. I've never used an airbrush before, I'd like to try them sometime.

  • that is amazing!!

  • thank you!

  • Nice - beautiful painting and interesting music (kind of Depeche Mode-ish). You got talent - keep up the good work! :-)

  • Thanks! I'm a big fan of Depeche Mode :)

  • This is so nice.

  • Great CompositionS! I love it!!! From the drawing, painting, editing and music to the whole concept. Thank you for sharing your talents and gifts. Please, keep 'um commin'! :O)

  • Thank you so much!

  • between 2;03 and 2;04 her skin color changed, I assume it was the light? I like your technique how you make a circle and make the face.Thats the right way :) 10-15 hours? I know its a lof of work because you have to wait to dry.

  • Thanks for watching!

The skin color changed because I re-painted it. I didn't like the way I painted it the first time. I didn't include that part in the video so it just jumps.

It took me 10-15 hours because I'm a perfectionist. I repaint sections all the time so it probably takes me twice as long compared to someone who is satisfied with their first brush strokes. The paints I use dry almost instantly so drying time's not an issue.

  • that was really awesome, but what kind of technique did you use?? is that oil? or acrylic??

  • Thanks! I used acrylic paints on canvas for this one. I paint in many layers, starting with dark colors going to light colors. Each layer is a little bit lighter in value than the layer beneath it. I use a "dry brush" technique for blending (using a dry brush with a little paint and then scrubbing it into the surface.) Hope that answers your question :)

  • How long did it take you to paint it.

  • Probably about 10-15 hours. I didn't keep track but I spent a few days working on it off and on. This video only shows snippets of me working on it.

  • Beautiful painting. I love that her wings are leaves.

  • Thanks!

  • thankyou i loved this art work im learning the same way practice every day

  • Thanks! Yup, practice is the best way to learn!

  • so which art school did you attend?

  • I never went to an art school. I took a few classes at the college I attended but I learned a lot of what I know from books, the internet, and lots of practice, hehe.

  • I'm speechless... her wings looked amazing, and the music matched the autumn mood :))) What kind of paints and paper do you use?

  • Thanks! In this video I'm using acrylic paints. I use a few different brands, but my favorites are Liquitex Soft Body and Golden Fluid. I'm painting on a flat sheet of canvas. It comes in pads by a company called Fredrix.

  • Awsome work! You are so gifted!

  • thank you tascha :)
