  • The Musical Trinity!

  • Magical Brilliant. Many Many Thanks.

  • Thanks for comments

  • This is music.

  • Problematic audio, otherwise would have been more enjoyable.

  • I have posted the same video with better audio in my channel. That video is few minutes longer than this one.

  • A+!

  • NICE

  • There's a DVD of the whole concert. it's really good, if anyone wants to consider getting it.

  • What is the name of the dvd and where one can get it. I have the vhs version.

  • "The Concert for Bangladesh: George Harrison and Friends." You could probably order it online or maybe Best Buy or somethin

  • This is from The Concert for Bangladesh eh? I didn't notice right away but now I do... Silly me.

  • This clip is from The Concert for Bangladesh, organized by George Harrison in 1971.

  • Three music legends, I salute you.

  • thanks for this video!

  • how old is thi video????????

  • I am guessing this video was made in late 60's.

  • When was this

  • I only wish the world could have more music like this. They've spent their whole lives trying to give real music to the world. I wish for this music never to die and remain on this Earth forever.

  • This has always been one of my favorite concerts. Two giants of Indian music meeting. Excellent.

  • Three giants.

  • A discourse in the language of music...WOW!

  • this is real musical talent and genius. Unlike da west

  • You got it! No trashy gangsta rap here...no violent encouragements of ignorance, disguised as "cultural expression." lol

  • Everyone should know: This is one of the greatest musical performances of all time. We should hear the whole thing.

  • That's is outstanding, sitar and sarod!

  • Thirakwah Khansaheb is rightfully and popularly called 'mt.everest of Tabla' but no one has yet been called 'father of Indian Tabla'. Pannalal Ghosh was father of the Indian flute, a pioneer, but there were legends before, during and after Thirakwah Sahab (Allahkhaji, Nikhil Ghoshji, Samta Prasadji) but none were called the father of Tabla, although each contributed uniquely to the art.

  • i love this kind of Music

    thanks

  • Incredible.

  • Sorry for the misintrepretation of "guru" here, i only meant ustad Ali akbar khan is the better known sarod maestro compared to ustad amjad ali khan. Also amjad ali khan is the 6th or 7th generation in sarod lineage. Infact he says one way or the other every sarod player presently learnt it from one of his forefathers.Interestingly his both sons are well know sarod musicians continuing the lineage... :)

  • With due respect i would like to let all of you know that the guru of Ustaad Amjad Ali Khan was his father,

the Great Ustaad Hafiz Ali Khan,Ustad Wajid ali Khan was not his father.

  • Too bad the audio is ten miles away. From what I could hear it was the end of the same song recorded on an album called Exotic Sounds of the Sitar and Sarod. It was one of my favorite songs of all time. Unfortunately, it was burned up in a house fire and I've never been able to replace it. Dang.

  • I will repost this video with better sound quality.

  • Thanks..... This video is a gem

  • All the biggies in this rare video - Allah rakha(Father of indian tabla),Ravi shankar (Man who introduced indian classical to western world) and Ali Akbar (guru of ustab Amjad ali khan).

  • Ustad Amjad Ali Khan's guru is his own father Ustad Wajid ali Khan and NOT Ali akbar khan

  • faher of Indian Tabla? Ustads Ahmedjaan Thirakwah and Amir Hussain Khansaheb had attained this status long before.
