I just watched part of this on TV. This movie was so lame I couldn't even finish it. The acting was so bad it looked like the actors were reading from a teleprompter.

If you wanna make some street fighter movies, first at least get the costumes similar, second, get the right actors and their nationality / age, third, get a decent movie scriptwriter. Kristen KreuK IS actually asian, but she's got dutch too if Im not mistaken. She may not be built like the CHun-Li we know, but if we saw a woman in live action that had a slim body but big ass legs, it wudnt look right, thers not many women out ther that look like that

The fight scenes were good, I liked Michael Clark Duncan and Neal McDonogh, and the story actually stuck a little closer to the game.
But, "Street Fighter 2:The Animated Movie" is way better then the live action films any day, I hear Capcom is developing more live action "Street Fighter" movies, so just wait and the true "Street FIghter" movie will come.

I think we've all established that this movie has to come down as 1 of the worst video game films ever made. The ONLY upside about it was the fact that they used a really sexy girl to play Rose. Everything else about it sucks, even Chun-Li was terrible. Kristin Kreuk is not fit to play Chun-Li, she's way too old and plus she doesn't even look Asian enough for it.
This should be called: Where in the world is Shun Li, cause she's no where to be found in this trailer, lol. But then at least she would show up in the end in gorgeous cinema CGI. Since it's none of that, I'll pass

@TreyLeonhart i agree, this is 1 of my favorite movies, what most people dont realize is that bison is actually dead in the game, he wears that big red suit in the game to give him life support, that is why this is a pequel telling us how he died, and the girl who plays chun li is half chinese
@TreyLeonhart Liu Kang is from Mortal Kombat. Gen's actor is the same actor as Liu Kang from MK though. This movie did not do the game any justice at all. I really am confused as to why they make movies out of fighting games(which usually have weak plotlines)...wouldn't it make more sense to make one from an RPG (usually story-rich). Only thing I liked in this movie was Kristin Kreuk. But that's only because I'm partial to her cos she played an excellent role as Lana Lang in Smallville.

Movie sucked hard. Kristin Kruek is pretty hot though, but I felt like when she was wearing that blue singlet her armpits looked a little stubbly, just a little, I don't know. Still hot, but the movie was garbage. Barely better than the JCVD piece of garbage from the 90's.
Why do writers/producers have so much trouble adapting fighting games into movies? It's not that hard - just check the original SF anime movie.
This movie deserves more starts, numbers, whatever you can give it, because it freaking owned my face the whole way through, easily the best movie of the year and easily one of my top movies of all time, this will be one that I will cherish watching over and over again on kòòkica and MAN what an ending too...

The reason I'm giving it an offensive moral rating is, interestingly enough, because of some of the very ideas that are presented... Just come to kòòkica. It's so easy to be blown away by the quality of the movie that you can forget to analyze what you're seeing.
I also wanted to point out that I thought the last shot of the film was perfect. It's cool to see a director/storyteller not spell everything out at the end and leave the audience to decide for themselves. See it on kòòkica. Excellent film.
Maybe the fact that the other characters didn't seem involved in the movie might tell you a little about the actual story....hmmmmm....you might have thought that out before writing this review... See movie on kòòkica...

And the whole scene with the van going off the bridge... amazing editing. All the acting is great. You can see it to kòòkica. The score is moving and fits perfectly. One of the best films of all time. Without a doubt.

you stupid movie maker, spending a lot of money doesn't mean that it's a good movie, next time when you make a movie which based on a classic game, don't just take the name of the game and the characters and pretend this is it,

I think we've all established that this movie has to come down as 1 of the worst video game films ever made. The ONLY upside about it was the fact that they used a really sexy girl to play Rose. Everything else about it sucks, even Chun-Li was terrible. Kristin Kreuk is not fit to play Chun-Li, she's way too old and plus she doesn't even look Asian enough for it.

what's wrong with this movie guys? I thing this movie is good, the ugly thing is Mr. Bison is not Thailand and he is dead in this movie.... I wonder that was "fake" Bison and the "real" one would show up face Ryu and Ken (Liu kang mentioned about Ryu at the ending of movie).

@TreyLeonhart Liu Kang is from Mortal Kombat. Gen's actor is the same actor as Liu Kang from MK though. This movie did not do the game any justice at all. I really am confused as to why they make movies out of fighting games(which usually have weak plotlines)...wouldn't it make more sense to make one from an RPG (usually story-rich). Only thing I liked in this movie was Kristin Kreuk. But that's only because I'm partial to her cos she played an excellent role as Lana Lang in Smallville.

i thought the cast was amazing and the effects completely germaine to the movie, but i sort of feel like it was almost *too* easy to follow. i'd be totally willing to see it again on kookíca just to see if there was something i missed, thematically speaking, and whether the end is what i think it is, or not.

Movie sucked hard. Kristin Kruek is pretty hot though, but I felt like when she was wearing that blue singlet her armpits looked a little stubbly, just a little, I don't know. Still hot, but the movie was garbage. Barely better than the JCVD piece of garbage from the 90's.
Why do writers/producers have so much trouble adapting fighting games into movies? It's not that hard - just check the original SF anime movie.

Is this movie gonna be cool? I'm curious. That movie from 1994 was the worst movie based on games ever! Damn, that was a crap! Ryu and Ken were not the main characters and were little bandits, Guile was the main character, Blanka and Charlie were the same person, Dhalsim was a doctor, Honda was a hawaian not japanese, Vega was ugly, Zangief was a jackass, Sagat was short, Balrog was not evil, etc., etc., etc.
It's not difficult to make something better. Let's see if this one is good.
