I think the results we are waiting for will start to show up after 2 years from now. Iran's performance may drop temporary because of the transformation phase they are in. They need to be in good shape physically, technically, speed of game, style of game. Also it takes some time to find the talented young players who will be playing in most games who should be familiar with each other. Do not expect these things happening within few months.

i do respect Iran team & im proud for Iran cox they have played before in world cup among the few country's Asia. but all im saying is iran cant beat Maldives like before as Iran coach Carlos Queiroz says that EVERY MATCH IS DIFFERENT doesn't matter big country small country... & i believe Maldives can do better in Iran ground as well Maldives can do much much better in home ground & u ppl have no idea current status of Maldives level but i believe Carlos Queiroz know well...

@fayax2009 I hope Maldive can play very well. In fact I hope all the Asian teams play better and better so we can have a great Asian cup games and beautiful matches. All the Asian teams are growing up and Maldive should improve too. In old days of Asian football, Iran, South Korea and Arabic Saudi were the powers but fortunately now thee are many good teams like Japan, China and many more good teams, which improves the all games quality. I'm an Iranian but good luck to Maldive team

It was our coach's idea (Carlos Queiroz). He said that we're playing Maldives in the WCQ so we need to play a country like Maldives. Plus, the Americans, believe it or not, try very hard to stop Western countries from playing Iran. In the past year we have played Brazil and Russia in friendlies but it's hard to get American allies to play Iran which is beyond weird cuz I don't understand how football is related to anything lol
