I think that Torchwood is a great show. Not Doctor Who great (Nothing is). but it's still a fun show to watch.

So many "fans" complaining, and why?? Don't you people have anything better to do than waste 50 minutes of your life (that you're NEVER getting back) watching something you don't like simply so you can go online and complain like idiots?? Either watch the show or don't, and if you're going to watch it stop looking for crap to complain about. Try something new and relax!

The craziness always had to do with aliens and you suspend your disbelief in an area like that. You don't do the same for a mother putting earmuffs on her baby while she gets in a gunfight. Nor do you do that for a doped up CIA agent leaving a hospital, heading off to the UK and wielding power by waving his badge as if he were MI5. You also don't take people who used to voluntarily save the world on a regular basis and change them into paranoid idiots for a stupid plotline...

The opener was a huge "jump the shark" moment for Torchwood, RTD and anyone with a brain... Sad to see, after I got my hopes up...

@DarkWatch1962 Yeah, except not. I fail to see how it's a jump the shark moment on a show where cannibals were a central figure of one of the first episodes.

@DarkWatch1962 I tend to agree..Perhaps, it will get better BUT here's a list of comments I've heard about it.

1)It's just a Brit X-Files like "Spooks" was another "24" (I tend to think that's unfair toward Spooks however)

2)It's X-Files with a Gay Lead Actor

3)Meh

4)What the F' is that Gwen and her husband saying (I can't understand them)

5)It's a Piss Poor Doctor Who spin-off.

6)Russell T.Davies almost ruined "Doctor Who", and we can now see why

7)One season wonder

I've been a huge fan of Torchwood since the very first season, but the events of Children of Earth had me wondering if I could watch again. Now?...BRING. IT. ON! Jack is back! \o/
