  • for scalar this aquarium ist soo small!!!

  • Looks awesome mate, ive just put sand in my tank (silversand) and shit it looks hot

but the fish will lose a bit of color over the darker substrates

  • what are the dementions of ur tank like height , width , and lenth

  • Mad tank if you wanted to you could fit lots more fish in there. Plz Check out my video of my ar980. Thanks!!

  • @LIVE4SCOOTERS You have a very nice collection of fish there :) I would have more however after going to university this year I have left my parents in charge of the fish while im away and dont want to over complicate things for them! Check out my other 2 videos of the same tank if you havent already, this video is nearly 2 years old and its changed A LOT since then. Thanks :)

  • do u know that its nnot 21 gallons its actually 23.78

  • @aloha12ant American and UK gallons are different, depends on what you want to use, it doesn't make that much of a difference

  • DUDE tank looks freakin Nice

  • Hi i was wondering if you could help me! im planning on buying this tank and i think im right in saying its takes 2x 20 watt bulbs- im sorry if this sound stupid, but during my research i found someone who said it was really hard to get hold of replacement bulbs...is this true or would it take standard 20 watt lights from most pet stores or is it a special type of bulb.

sorry if this all sounds silly but i was a bit confused by this individuals comment.

  • @maddybee333 The only website I have found replacement bulbs is seapets which is where I bought the tank. I think the problem is with finding bulbs is the length, I'm currently at university so cant tell you exactly how long they are but I remember them not being standard length. I have had the tank well over a year now and haven't replaced the bulbs. I wouldn't worry too much seeming as you haven't bought the tank yet. Like I said that one website does stock them. Hope this helps

  • @Goldfish50Gallon The filter is good for basic filtration, putting in more ceramic wont make a difference on filtration it will only supply more surface area for bacteria which isn't that necessary. Carbon is handy in keeping the water clear and odour free, its down to personal preference on how you set up your filter there is no right or wrong way to set filters up. Best thing is to take your time and try out different set ups and see what works best for you. Hope this helps

  • @Goldfish50Gallon In this video the second compartment has more ceramic at the bottom and a final finer sponge to remove any small particles that didn't get taken out in the first section, I now have a fluval 205 which is doing a FAR better job than this filter.

  • I have the same tank but, how do u keep the PH at a stable level with it's dropping rate in a planted tank?

  • im getting one of these models for christmas: im sick of my 10 year old hand-me-down aquarium with filthy gravel and a cheap filter.

  • Very nice, your watter is really clean too. I like the setup :P

Check out my aquarium if you have time.

I have some neon tetras and some guppies too :)

  • @raz0r176 Thankyou! This tank has actually changed completely since this video! I will post another vid soon to show everyone what Ive done :) Ill check out your tank!

  • how about some Cardinal Tetras or Ember tetras? Maybe Some platies or Mollies might be nice= ]

  • Very well formed video with charming admissions! Really washbasin! Fantastically!

  • amazing soo beautiful

  • NIce tank. Im thinking of getting a 10 gallon via aqua and was just wondering how good the filter and lighting was. Planning on making it a saltwater tank, would i have to buy a HO bulbs or are the stock lights ok.

  • Nice angle fish!

  • Wow really good job! lovely clear water and lovely fish choice!

  • I have the same tank but the 850, quality setup.

  • DOes the filter and the airstone makes the neon tetras strong and healthy right? max jet power heads just killed the neon tetras?

  • Did it come with a heater , is it easy to set up , how do you clean the tank?

  • It didnt come with a heater, they are relatively cheap so its not that much of a problem, ide be more concerned about gravel i had to pay £30 to get the ammount of gravel i needed for this!

  • are those plants real or fake? and if real how do they grow in just gravel?

  • I have a layer of plant substrate under the gravel which gives the plants nutrients etc etc. The roots spread in the gravel i guess, ide recommend getting a co2 generator though it benefits the plants health/growth amazingly as I have recently found out.

  • i love the sand what kind is it brings the tank to life!

  • Its not actually sand its fine gravel :) 1-2mm... It was pretty expensive compared to sand but the store didnt have any sand so I got this. I was happy with it untill now. I didnt realise how dirty white substrate got!! Its not white any more lets just say that lol. I think its just algae being a new tank n all it might clear up...

  • @philrogers999 If you're having a bit of trouble with cleaning the sand, you could buy a few corydora catfish to join the pleco on the cleanup crew. They don't eat algae, but they do wonders to the substrate.

    Just a suggestion :O

Also, is there anywhere in the lid of the tank to put the filter through?

  • hey, nice tank.

might i say; when those angles get big they will eat your neons :(

happened to me, and they don't just gulp up the neons, they kinda rip it apart...

    just warning you :(

ps: i like the drift wood!

  • Yeah lots of people have told me that :/

I didnt realise how big they got when I bought them my lfs told me it would be fine to keep them in a 10 gallon!!! (my old one) :| crazy people.

Im gonna see later when they get bigger if I can give them to someone local its not fair if I let them eat all my other fish!

    Cheers about the tank comment.

  • u cud get a few small shrimps or crabs...

  • I did have some shrimps in my 10 gallon but they literally all disappeared. I havt a clue where they went even when i emptied the tank to move the fish to this one I didnt find any bodys :S weird. I dont like the sound of crabs wont they just snip my fish in half??

  • oh yeah the same haapen here...but in a much smaller tank...funny ehh dunno where they hav gone but they were cool to hav tho...lyk rite now i am preparing to put the guppys in the small tank to the 21 gallons (90 litres)...they're gonna hav loads of space to move around...i havent used this large tank for awhile lyk a year ago, until now... :)

  • haha true dat...n the shrimp always leaves it shell of there bodies around, makin mess of themselves hahah...oh yeah nice set out n design of the tank....at the moment mine is empty but full of water only, and a moth-ball to sort of neutralises the water a bit...

  • Lol i know what you mean about the shells. One of my ghost shrimp turned black aswell :S wasnt entirely sure it was a ghost shrimp but hey ho it was cool never the less :D Im thinking about getting some cory catfish you can get some cool looking ones of them.
