  • Oh i was there that night!

Nick was a big fan of Suicide back in the early 80s when he was in the Birthday Party. This is definitely a version of "Harlem" from the 1980 Suicide album.

  • @averilleX cool that's two votes for the title being "Harlem" now so I've updated it accordingly.

  • @sighkid Sometimes being old is quite useful ... glad to help, the original track is up on UT btw! Along with Shadaaz and Diamonds, Fur Coat, Champagne ... off the same album. X

  • Thats a great version. His voice really lends itself to this song.

  • I think this is Suicide's song "Harlem", not "Touch Me".

  • Hmmm I put this recording up before on a different account and I think there was some debate about the actual song title. I thought "Touch Me" was the consensus of opinion back then, but maybe I misremembered.

  • It's just that the lyrics this guy sings is "Harlem, harlem, harlem, baby!" NOT "Touch me, touch me. Touch me, touch me. Cool as ice, cool as ice...."

There's another song by Suicide, also listed as "Touch Me", but again the song being played is "Harlem". Weird, eh?

  • @sighkid Cave and Vega together? Im gettin a boner!
