Aye, thats true, my Korean is fairly good now, I only studied for a short while, with books and that, but being here and having Korean family and friends you kinda get thrown in at the deep end and learn it hands on, I love speaking Korean but I have a two year old daughter who already knows more than me. Every country has a minority of racists and although Korea has more than its share, it also has alot of good people and interesting aspects of its culture.
Cheers mate, They hate westerners mainly because of the G.I's based over here and they want their own military to take complete control. It got alot worse a couple of years ago though when some soldiers accidently killed two Korean school girls in a hummer. Thing is the dress like rappers and totally rip off every western genre. I had my nose broken in the street cause I was holding hands with my wife and a Korean told me to stay away from Korean women.
