its a good theory proposed but one has to also consider what "good intentions" are for and who profits when they are declaring their "good deeds" on prime time TV. This practice has been performed by many Hollywood actors and they get allot press by adopting "Black" children."
The act is not the concern but the way the deed is done is what is exploitive. If one cannot understand this then you have not experienced a deeper sense of exploitation.

It's fairly clear that Madonna's not exploiting David by adopting him, and her actions were reported by the media because everything she does is reported - it's reactions like this that have brought about the perception of exploitation, not her or the reports. She's not "declaring her good deeds" - she was asked about the adoption and answered fairly, mentioning that this area of the world needs support.
If you see exploitation in every mixed-race connection, you're looking too hard.

I didn't say 'help', I said 'support' - very different things. You're right, there's people all over the planet needing support, but that doesn't mean you have to stick to your area, or deny other places.
The mixed race connection here would be between a mother and her son - that's a pretty big connection. As for who'd attack her - you for a start, and quite a few other commentators, those that bring it down to celebrity and race, neither of which are the point.
