Darker skin is better than lighter skin bcuz it's more protected from the sun's harmful rays. If you take notice the difference between a 40 yr old white woman or man and a 40 yr old black woman or man. The 40 yr old white woman or man has wrinkled at that age or even as early as 30 but black women or man don't start to wrinkle until well into their 60's. Hence the saying black don't crack....

Individuals with lighter or fair skin are at a huge disadvantage as they get older because as they age, they will look 10 to 15 years older then there darker counterparts. An African American woman at 60 will look like she is 49 if she takes care of herself and a fair or white individual at 60 will look every bit their age or older if they have exposed themselves to sun over the course of their lifetime.

Darker skin is better than lighter skin bcuz it's more protected from the sun's harmful rays. If you take notice the difference between a 40 yr old white woman or man and a 40 yr old black woman or man. The 40 yr old white woman or man has wrinkled at that age or even as early as 30 but black women or man don't start to wrinkle until well into their 60's. Hence the saying black don't crack....

@MrBigawesome1 Well that is not exactly true for fair skinned white people, I have fair skin ( I am white) natural redhead and I take good care of my skin , limiting my sun exsposure and wearing SPF and a good moisturizer and I don't have a line on my face! So its all in how you protect your skin! :)

@maleficentdiva Yeah, I always freak when I see mother's with redhead kids because I know that redheads are more susceptible to cancer, so good for you! Skin cancer is NOT something to play with-skin is largest organ we have, and we already have the environment helping damge it so we have to protect it, and avoid certain products. I have dark skin , and my parents are from Ghana. I've tried natural sunscreens, but they smell bad lol , but I've found one I think might work. Look up Fran Kerr

@maleficentdiva - well let me ask you this? How old are you? Are you over the age of 38? Because I find that hard to believe. No disrespect but white and fair skin women do not age well at all. Even with preventive measures, they do not age as well as African American women and they do require some cosmetic intervention after the age of 35 because of the sheer thinest of their skin, wrinkles and lines are inevitable, even with the best preventive measures.

I remember i sent an email a skinlightening company and told them to call and me and please explain why they are pushing the light is better thing he called(this darkskinned black man so he said) and said that there is nothing wrong with trying to make your skin healthier and better and then proceeded to tell me that i had a color complex. THE SKIN LIGHTENING COMPANY TOLD ME I HAD A PROBLEM WITH COLOR. LOL CLASSIC
