just mad because we come threw the band with splash and you cant hear who you talk to. and the wonderful thing is half them ham radios can be mod. so hahaha.
LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ch. 6 the good ol'e toilet bowl where blue gums and nuckel draggers spend thousands of dollars to just get there names called thru 30db's of jungle banter. and 929 in maryland just got down right thurrrr as they say. ooooooh my i gotta wash my mouth out now.
CBer's, do you like your big amps, beam antennas, sideband, am amd dadios that work well??? Thank A HAM because thats where those things got started. And all before the CB service was ever created. Never saw a CBer bounce a signal off of the moon. Never saw a CBer talk on a walkie talkie to the other side on the city, state, nation or world for that matter. CB-the short bus of radio...
@w5tah74ci Wow I did not know that amateur radio was being licensed while James Maxwell, Rudolf Hertz, and Nikola Tesla was just having ideas on if wireless telegraphy was possible. Maybe they should have consulted a ham and would not have wasted their time. And do you really do moon bounce in HF? You are comparing Apples to Oranges on that.. We are nowhere close to VHF/UHF to do that. Same as talking on your 2 meter across the city on a repeater... Try on simplex... Basically you would
@w5tah74ci have to wait for the band to open to do so.... People like you was who I had to greet me to ham radio back when all you could get with a no code license was Tech... You that to pass the 5 wpm to get Tech Plus.... And to think even with all the narrow minded hams then. I still tried to show I could.... Even got to 40 to 50 wpm. Just to see that they did not want no coders on band.... Glad I let my license expire in 2004. 73's to ya.. Immmmmmmmmmmm 10-7
One time I made a $500 bet to one of these CBer's over the air. I had a12 watt radio that could out range his 5000 watt, 110 ft long john equipped tower. He couldnt back down in front of his CB Buddies. So I came over that night and set up the MFJ-9420 SSB and a dipole in a tree. This was at night and the skip was gone and his CB radio was able to talk a good 150 miles to other similar base stations. I tune around on 20 meters and made several contacts into Florida, Michigan, Ca....$500 richer
thats stupid cb is 11 meter for a real bet how about u use 10 meter with your 12 watts to another ham and he uses 11 meter ssb to another 11 meter cber on ssb with 5000 watts then lets see what happens
I've been a Ham for 20+ years, a CW fanatic, and ALL of my rigs are modified for 11 meters. For all of its chaos, it's a fun band with lots of friendly folks. Tune the ham SSB frequencies sometimes and listen to the filth and rudeness there!!! Hahaha!!!!
Nice radio. I have one myself. A good small radio that does everything well. Mine is still just as it was when it left the factory, unopened, although I do like a listen to the CB frequencies when the skip is running, just for old times sakes.

the guyson 6 most of them run 80kw and over 100kw from there base. iv been to one of the guys house. amazing amps they have amps driving amps driving another amp to get to the BIG amp. its amazing setup those guys have when they Mual drop on eachother
@210Sterling How do you know what anyone is running? Did you put a meter on their rig? What type meter did you use to measure 80 kw? If you didn't do any of this, you are full of bulls**t.
@ddjj868 Smartest thing that I have heard in this whole shit-slinging match, yet. I don't look down on CBers, since I was once one. I just have a problem with people that don't realize just how important HAM radio can be. After being part of many disasters and relief for them, I get pretty pissed when people spout off their mouths about things that don't know or cannot comprehend! CBers are limited to a couple types of propagation and one band. I can communicate anywhere on the globe 24/7!
@W6CSAhamradio Right on, brother. Also, you should mention: the Haitian, Hawaiian, Californian, Japanese, and Chinese earthquakes. @29pu04 Oh, I guess that after hurricane Katrina it was CBers that handled all the communications that were past in and out of the disaster area! WTF ever! @kc8ntp Yeah man CB'ers set up packet radio on 27.025 MHz and handled traffic during Katrina hahahaha That'll be the day. All they wanna do is break 19 and hetrodyne all over each other with their illegal amps.
@W6CSAhamradio It's not even completely about that... Most these idiots don't even realize that we use HF bands like 40m, which have propagation characteristics that let us communicate over an entire region -- without a noticeable skip-zone -- through the hours of daylight. Not to mention, that once the sun sets, we can go to 75m and do the same thing there, too! Plus, we will have signals of S9+30dB while only running 100w; not 5kw like they think is necessary! NVIS is a great thing!
@kc8ntp 5KW? Most of the really big guys on the bowl run more than 25K,some even run over 50! An ex friend uses an amp the size of a large fridge that does over 50K. I think it's about the most stupid thing anyone could do with their hard earned money! I would rather talk around the world with 50 watts, anytime i feel like it rather than to have to wait for "conditions" to talk around the US with 50K.
@zLOSTNOMOREz Trust me, these guys make grand claims of 25kw amps, but in reality that is rare. Yeah, they are out there, but few, far, and in between. @kc8ntp Stacked Yagis?Well yeah i'm sure that with 1kw and those antennas you would have little trouble on 6 but you know ( and I ) that the antenna makes the biggest difference in over all station performance. Most of the ch 6 guys dont know this or only care about the size of their amps, not the size of there antennas!
You don't know what you're talking about. People do what they want to do , not what you want them to do. What you eat will not make anyone shit but you.

@truckstopcowboy Oh, like in Hawaii after their last big Earthquake or New Orleans after Katrina! Oh, that's right, there wasn't any cell service, retard! Or, in San Jose when they lost a major fiber-optic line (and cell service, too, Truckstop Cocksucker), and HAMs (not CBers) handled 911 relays and trafffic.

@juckelscorey Actually, guy, I had a vast knowledge of radio long before I was a HAM. And no, I was not born with it, lol, I was a shortwave listener from the time I was 7-years old. Why would you have to sit in a classroom anyway? I am mostly self-taught; except for electronics and electrical engineering. Anybody with half a brain, that doesn't live in a trailer park, should be able to learn everything they need to without stepping one foot in a class-room!
@juckelscorey I am so sorry that the average person from the UK has to taught what we can, in states, learn by reading a book; I guess that you have to know how to read something larger than a 2 syllable to be able to comprehend radio theory! Trailer trash? I live in a nice house on the side of a mountain, in the state Nevada. So, trailer trash, I think not! I spend more money a month for fuel to go shopping than you probably make!
@juckelscorey Interesting, I am now lazy! If you are lazy where I live, then you die! You could not even imagine living here. We have temps of -43C in the winter and over 5m of snow. Oh, big fucking deal, I was typing so fast that I missed a word. And, actually, dumb-ass, I have Masters degrees in electrical & electronics engineering, and I am working on a Bachelors of Art. I could criticize your writing to no end if you like. Remember, English may be your native language, but we perfected it!
@juckelscorey Thank you for proving my fact, filthy moron. By the way, just for your information, I'm a CBer too. And it's you, and people like you, why a lot of HAMs hate CBers. Thank you, idiot...
Seafood & Fat gals! Geezzz....!
He should listen to Merle Travis' song "Fat Gal"! He would feel right at home!
Anyways..., thanks goodness for the CW bands! They will never show up down there.

@kc8ntp in the uk you have to go into the classroom to pass,so get fucked trailer trash.
