  • I see what you're saying but Dilla was one of the most respected producers in hip hop when he was alive. It's true that he received a lot more attention after he died, but it's not like people didn't know he was or didn't think he was a legendary producer while he was still with us, just my opinion

  • i here you man much respect

  • he is still with us, hes just got a residency in heaven now

  • Whats the name of that first track once the video starts????

    Good work dude

  • This a lot wrong with this I really wanted put this on my page but has far too much wrong with it (Fuck the Police wasn't a Dilla beat it was Madlib). I don't feel like doing a list, but I hope this brings more people to his genius! Rest In Peace... my Hero!

  • Fuck the Police was inspired by a Madlib interlude, but Dilla produced it. I'm not sure what else you found that was wrong but feel free to message me any other errors you may have caught.

  • i liked it, and i respect you for producing this. I always wanted to do this. i must disagree with you on the dilla emceeing facts. from my reading of his history, dilla has always been ryming, he did not just blossom in the early 2000's. but nice regardless. respect

  • You have composed a compelling mini-documentary.I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great work!

  • Didn't know about that Janet Jackson track, It's probably the first Dilla beat I heard then.. Anyway, great vid.

  • great bio. i learned alot. i like how between segments, you would give the listener time to hear the beat before continuing with your story.

  • This is just great.

  • Yo very good .....BUT dilla didnt request not to be credited for janet jackson, he got f-ed over.

    Peace

  • You're right, I heard conflicting stories when I researched the bio but another user on here pointed that out to me and I threw an addendum up in the video description, thank you for keeping me on my toes though, big up
