@atroxanimi77 Well for example, McDonalds along with many other American food companies have been credited with putting many Caribbean meat producers out of business. Because or government subsidizes (socialized) meat production in America the cost of meat here in the US is very low. US meat producers then sell that meat overseas to countries like Jamaica and Haiti, and the ranchers cannot compete, many being driven out of business.

@atroxanimi77 This has been a huge problem, and McDonalds is a main contributor. I'm not completely against government subsidizing our food industry either, but these programs were created to help out poor rural farmers. It's really a damn shame that such big, rich, and powerful corporations can benefit from what amounts to billions of dollars over time in subsidies. It's not just in the Caribbean either, I mean many small farmers have been forced out of business too, on my taxes.
