Schools of today have been setup to take your money, only educate you enough to make others money, and not teach you how to take control of your own life. Know about it. Its over rated. The info these days is so obsolete. Even my college proff's told me that! U do have a real talent. There's a lot more to the music industry than just singing the road u chose will be long with endless amount of obstacles keep ya head up continue to believe in you because I do! I think dropping out of school is tragic for any young person who leaves without gaining any qualifications.

It's also tragic to waste your time on something which you do not fully commit to.

I have qualifications and can still study History at Degree level later on if I wish. Right now I'd like to study music, as I say in the video. Does the $100.00/hour cover listening too?

I made the decision on my own and don't plan to reconsider.

Normally, when someone quits school to persue music, I shake my head, since most musicians don't have much in terms of real talent. However, in your case, you've made the right decision. You have a beautiful unique voice & your chord voicings & material are world class. I just hope you get a proper chance to be able to showcase it to as many people as possible. I don't know about quitting the degree to pursue music though. The music business is just that, a "business!" Unfortunately it's not about those who can or cannot sing, it's about fitting the right "face" to what those who market the product, can sell in bucket loads. The market today tends to be white, age 15-24.

Having said that, don't let me put you off. You go girl!

I am really not looking for mainstream market success/fame. I simply want to be a credible artist in a career that will make me happy.
