  • What about rumpleteazer? why does only mungojerrie get the credit?

  • @JKrowlingrockx I assume they're only referring to male cats :)

  • i can't choose who i like better.....demeter or bomby????? but misto and tugger are always my favs!

  • Anyone else notice the Moriarty parallels? Like the title of "Napoleon of crime" (this one was actually used in homage) an his general appearance?

  • I was wathcing this in my reading class because we memorised the naming of cats. All my class loved this song. We just really like this musical all of us yelled at our teacher, LETS GO TO BROADWAY TO SEE IT!!!!!!

  • @tomtom2398 when i showed this to my class they were telling me that "it was going to give them nightmares" or that it was "stupid" .....

  • I sang this is special choir one year. It was so much fun!

  • this song scared the crap out of me when i was little, and it still does

  • @showersinger34 when i first saw this when i got the tape 4 my 2dn bday i cried at this part and the cat fight between macavity munkustrap lol

  • it is the flying squad

  • in the lyrics it is Firing Squad

  • It's not the London Cast, it's just the film cast. A lot of the actors aren't British, either. Aeva May, for example (Demeter) is actually from Australia (Or possibly New Zealand. Exact country slipped my mind).

  • To clarify for anyone confused, they took various actors from various casts for this. For example, Ken Page originated Old Deuteronomy on Broadway, while Elaine Page originated Grizabella on the West End.

  • this is NOT the broadway cast! this is the movie cast of 1998!!!!

  • @robotchicken15748 I think she men't that Cats is a Broadway musical..... But that's also not true, it's from London

  • THis is a poem by T.S. Eliot

I read this poem in competetions and did quite well...I read this one and Dana Gioia's Alley Cat Love Song

  • Yes, they used the Book Of Practical Cats as the lyrics for the songs, with certain ones (Memory, for instance) added to create a plot.

  • its in the info part on the right

  • this is the london cast. not the broadway cast.

  • This is not the LONDON cast!

  • its the london cast it says it on the video it says it was shot in london

  • It was shot in London, but this is not the London Cast. This is just the film cast. Different actors entirely, save for a few cats.

  • I love this film, i saw it at the theatre and loved it!!!

  • One thing to make it up to here, this is not the Broadway cast of CATS! but the London Theater one, released in DVD. Please, whosoever has placed this video here, make the title correct!!!!!!!

P.S. The London Theater cast is the best CATS cast ever!

  • if my school had more than about 175 students (high school AND middle school, no lie!) i would totally make us do it. as it is, we'd have maybe, macavity, mr. mistoffelees, old deuteronomy, grizabella, rum tum tugger, and mungojerrie and rumpleteazer and maybe cassandra, demeter and bobalurina, some, possible double-cast, and we'd still not be able to do it because i don't think there are that many people who can sing and dance at the same time

  • whe are doing this is games (physical ed) and omg we have to lay on top of each other a squirm then one by one crawl off sexily like "sleek" i think its just horrible

  • love this musical its amazing
