I was at this race. Turns 1&2 were eating cars up. That patch of speedy dry in 2 was where Jr. plowed the wall.

I am proud to say that I went to high school with Andy and he is a truely great guy. He raced speedway 95 in Maine before going up to gand national series. He overcame a serious illness in high school and to see him doing so great is a blessing. Keep rockin Andy whatever you do in the future

Andy Santerre went on to win I believe 3 Busch Series North Campionships. Now he is a car owner in the new series. You couldn't meet a nicer driver! Road courses and short tracks were his specialty....no luck on the speedways

This had to be the biggest upset of the year. Andy Santerre had been seriously injured at Daytona in a hard crash, then he surprised everybody by winning this race.

Just to let anyone know....P.P.I.R. was first raced on by me. I was a security guard at the time and on the weekend after they put down the black top....I went for it. No lie as God as my witness.
