i got back yesterday it was so sick it was unbelievable i went snorkelling everyday omg it was cool ion my last day i saw 9 sharks 4 stingrays and a baracuda
It's about 10 meters deep and rapidly increasing. From the corals to the surcase there is about 75 centimeters. It's VERY nice. I like that I don't have to take a boat to see a reef like this.
Hi every1 , im going to sharm el sheikh in egypt if about 2 weeks ( 26 /3 - 08 ) and what i heard theres sharks and rays there , and im scared , so please can someone reply this and tell me exaclyt what to do if i see one.. I mean right now my first thought is SWIM FOR YA LIFE! And i heard that if you get attacked by a shark you should punch it on the nose and it will be scared.. So please HELP ME!
You'll prolly see some big animals, but they are mostly harmless: all sharks over there are harmless except the hammerhead, u should look out for a napoleon fish, a beautifull big coral fish it's unharmfull and loves humans also we spotted a stingray that was 3 meters wide it was humongeous!
So don't worry just relax
AND ALSO! DON'T TOUCH THE CORAL, its very fragil and u should let it be
Snorkelled on this very reef last day of my holiday in Jan '07. As soon as I got in the water, saw a school of Tuna being hunted by a sailfish - absolutely awesome sight! Who needs repeats of 'The Blue Planet'? Spent thousands travelling/diving around the world this year and there was more action at 5m on this reef than anywhere else!

I used the camera "right out of the box". Took it down to app. 8 meters with no problems. Especially the stills are great.

omg, totally amazing!! went on the reef nearly everyday of my hol here! saw a manter ray aslo, awsome sight, but scary,lol!
