  • I must have seen every Three Stooges short multiple times and they never get old. They are by far my favorite.

  • Yeah but then I remember seeing the 3 Stooges in concert twice in Canada in the mid sixties in which Moe told kids not to poke each other in the eyes like they saw in their movies as it had caused some kids to go blind as their friends poked them in the eyes way too hard. Also assumeing that kids hitting other kids over the head with chairs, boards and so on must have hurt some kids down the road. I don't know when this piece was filmed but I know what I heard

  • Its wonderful that this has been saved. Very few people in 1975 had VCR's yet!

  • so I guess Moe was the first hippy

  • Fred Kelsey plays the boys' boss and Gino Corrado plays the pompous violinist in this scene from"Micro Phonies".

  • Justin Bieber emulates Moe's hairstyle

  • GENIO !!! Podria alguien traducir al español ??

  • omg he he

  • moe howard died in 1975, so i think this programme coul be in 1973 or 1972...good image...

  • Laurence Harvey died NOv. "73. I guess this was earlier that year.

  • If you listen closely when Moe talks, you can hear him wheezing...if I'm not mistaken, Moe died May 4, 1975 from lung cancer...probably in the last stages when this was taped. RIP the Three Stooges....

  • @catman5169 It was early to middle stages of lung cancer....if you click on NBC Nightly News The Three Stooges Segment 1975, that was when he was in the final stages of lung cancer...

  • Is that Phil Ochs at 1:52?

  • @artsfols no Thats actor lawrence harvey

  • @jimymac1 The two look a lot alike.

  • squawken... what a wonderful opportunity

  • Charlie Sheen ain't got nothing on Moe. Moe Howard = WINNING

  • These are something very special, both to us and for moe. Its fascinating to hear about so much back information-like where his haircut came from. It was really great that Moe got to be a stooge a few more times before he died.

  • thanx for posting-the moe interviews-there was also sitting there laurence harvey-he didnt look so well either--he was very ill about this time-thanks again

  • I wasn't born during this time. I was born in 1981. I didn't know about Moe making appearances on the Mike Douglas show. I'm glad that I got to enjoy this. Thanks for putting it up. :D

    The stooges are true legends.

  • @HawkfanMom1981 happy happy you like these

  • LEGENDS!!!

Two geniuses passed away in 1975. Moe Howard and Rod Serling. I wasn't born until 1976. Just goes to show, no matter how old a show is, if it's GREAT it will live on for generation after generation.

There wasn't anything like them before, and there will never be anything like them again. Moe, Larry, Curly, and Shemp were comedic geniuses. A million times funnier than any crappy, comedy today

  • QUE VUELVAN A ARGENTINA

  • Moe was a comic genius.

    He was really funny.

    Thank you for posting this.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • i like it

  • Thanks so much for the footage and the memories!

  • Nothing more funnier than the three stooges. Loved them. I sure do miss the Mike Douglas Show. Wish talk shows were more like this.

  • who can't love the stooges? every one had there favorite stooge.

  • Wonderful memories. Thank you so much for posting. I appeared five times on Mike's show with other variety acts of that era and I must say on a personal note: no host of a variety program including Ed Sullivan was ever as gracious or as welcoming to the wandering minstrel, if you will, such as myself and other performers.

  • @russocomedy awesome congratulations!, I am happy you like this clip

  • Luv them chairs!

  • I grew up watching them before and after school... love to see Moe tell these awesome stories....

  • Was Curly or Shemp ever on a talk show?

  • I love the Three Stooges, I grew up with them and my sons grew up with them.

  • Remember seeing this on TV when I was 10 or 11. Very cool...

  • He seems like he is only 5 foot 3 inches tall

  • jimymac1 love these videos curly is my favorite

  • @MsAutobodyman I love em too !,thanks

  • well at least his voice hasnt changed but yeah for me its hard seein him with gray hair

  • i was just laughing about what the old lady ( Eddie Murphy) on the great movie the NUTTY PROFFESOR loll about mike Douglas. what was that she said ? mike Douglas used to make her ????? only white man who ever did that was mike Douglas????? loll check it out

  • douglas keeps on cutting off moe....have some respect and let him say what he has to say

  • i SHALL have hair like this one day!

  • First off, The Stooges were always my fav vintage comedy troupe. But i really hae to express this: Am i the only one who sees the stark similarities between Moe's Haircut and the Beatles' haircut? At least the front, they're practicly identacle.

  • What year was this?

  • his vioce is the same hihi i miss those guys

  • I never realized how short Moe was. He is still funny 80 years on.

  • @3rdinfantrygrunt Moe Howard was 5'4'' in his prime. I would imagine he was 5'2'' or 5'3'' right here....

  • That scene is from "Microphonies" it's one of my all time favorite episodes

  • Oh, gosh! Where's the rating icon for a triple-header, top-rated video? Mike Douglas, Moe Howard, and Soupy Sales ... All in the same video? Absolutely fantastic. Thanks for sharing this with everyone.

  • @tonyny77 your welcome, I LOVE THE STOOGES, Larry is my favorite!

  • @jimymac1 - As years go by I've learned to appreciate the genius of all 3 of Moe Larry Curly. Sometimes concentrating on one per episode is just hilarious. I saw the show done on them on Biography, and a point was made I never thought of or anyone else really notice. But it was Larry, who set many moods with panic looks, reactions, etc. What a character he was too. Thanks so much for posting this vid...

  • @firebirdhome i do the same,thanks

  • @tonyny77 not to mention the great Lawrence Harvey who died in 1973. His daughter, Domino died under tragic circumstances in 2005.

  • What year was t his?

  • I never realized how short Moe was.

  • Big stooges fan its great to see these clips again thank you!!!

  • Got my picture taken with the 3 Stooges when I was about 10 years old along with my brother, sister and Mom. Still have the picture. What a great memory!

  • Besides Moe, Mike Douglas and Soupy Sales, who else was on stage with them there?

  • wow i forgot how short he was, I'd give anything to go back and meet the original stooges.

  • MOE IS THE BEST!

  • i love the three stooges...

  • An american ideal and great part of history. THe 3 stooges where wicked

  • Moe, the inventor of the Beatles mop-top. That's just awesome!

  • With both Mike and the audiences reactions to Moe's answers, you can tell that Moe was still ahead of his time when this was done.

  • Me, too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3

  • I LOVE MOE!!!!!!!!!!!! <3

  • Fred Kelsey plays the boss at the radio studio.Gino Corrado plays the vendictive violinist..who gets even with the boys here is "Micro Phonies".

  • Soupy sales!!!!

  • Looking at this video it brings back the memory I will never forget. While attending William Howard Taft in Woodland Hills Calif I set up an assembly in which Moe and Larry spoke to the students. Since I set it up I was given the honor of having lunch with Larry and More. While they had grown older, they had not changed. Moe with a cane and Larry in a wheel chair. They were both just wonderful to talk with. The stories they shard were amazing. Thank you Larry and Moe. You won't be forgotten.

  • @squawken7700 could you share some of those stories wow larry and moe together

  • @squawken7700 what a wonderful story.

  • @squawken7700

Please please share some of your stories of Moe Howard and Larry Fine.....I think many fans ( new and old ) would really enjoy them....

  • @squawken7700 wow dude that was amazing i wish i would of meet them. I a big fan of these guys

  • @squawken7700 I went to Verdugo hills high in Tujunga and Larry came to my school too.. he was in a wheel chair and I was fortunate enough to talk with him.... this was in 1975

  • @squawken7700 u lucky mofo

  • It was cool that these guys were making films in the early 1930's and here was Moe on TV still doing his stuff when we were kids in the 1970's.

  • legend

  • B-A bay B-E be B-I bicky bi B-O bo bicky bi bo B-U bu, bicky bi bo bu

  • Sometimes I comb my hair like Moe.

  • @wolfievt If i wanst bald, I would

  • RIP Stooges you were the best!! I used to run home from school to watch on TV. Three Stooges/Little Rascals hour!! I wish they were on TV more now. 60- 70 years old still funny!!

  • 9-11-73

  • what a lineup: moe, soupy, larry harvey & robert green

  • Very cool vid. Always like the Stooges...would also like to add a RIP for Soupy Sales who very recently passed.

  • I watched as a kid and I'd still watch them if they were on today in my area.

  • I can't believe he kept all of his hair

  • @0428733 omg i knw right i always thought his hair was a wig

  • Those other unkonwns shoulda had more respect for Moe!! They ended up havin to get REAL Jobs!

  • What an awesome post! Thanks. Grew up on the Stooges. Thanks!

  • The haircut was called a "Buster Brown" when I was a kid in the 50s.

  • lol @ the Three Stooges cover theme.

  • They were way ahead of their time. They have been copied by hundreds of comedians..

  • yea...i herd something about jim carey is trying to gain 30 pounds for the new 3 stooges movie. have you herd this to?

  • How old is he in this clip?

  • 70+

  • man I like how Moe's mom thought. Sucks that he didn't like his hair that way..

  • He said Curly Joe, which was a replacement for Curly that joined the 3 Stooges years after Curly and Shemp had died.

  • i did meat moe when i was 6 he larry and curley joe came to the hospital i was at to entertain

  • this is sad to see Moe as an old man shortly before his death, Think he was about 74 years old in this clip...wish I could of met him..he has kept many of us laughing for years!

  • Life is goes on.

Shem and Curly are my fave.

  • jchez1965

thank you for your nice comments

yes we had good time then!

  • me too

  • it was Micro-Phonies

  • what short was featured in this vid?

  • I hope I have a head of hair like that when I'm 70!

  • Oh, this is priceless! I saw this the day it aired and didn't think I'd ever see it again. Moe was one of the all time greats.

  • what year was this?

  • 1974 or 75. Shortly before Moe's death.

  • this takes me back, I DID meet MOE Howard at a 3 stooges convention in Philadelphia Pa back in the 60's. I loved him and miss all of them to this day. Comedy is the best form of medication for what ever ails you. To Moe, Shemp,Jackie shalom and may you rest in peace. I also met Soupy Sales, plus Mike Douglas use to live across the street from my Aunt in Central Philadelphia off of 5st and South st.

  • You are so lucky...Nothing can beat this type of comedy. Awesome times....

  • That set just makes me think they must have been uncomfortable in those goofy chairs and all spread out like that. They need a table in the middle, or some couches.

  • To moes right is mike, and from his left is soupy sales, still not sure and then laurence harvey

  • Soupy Sales for sure, next to Mike, then Moe. The guy on the far right looks like Fey Weybill of the group The Tubes, but it's not of course. Hmmm.....the other two....

  • I'm pretty sure that's Bryan Ferry from Roxy Music

  • can anyone name the other guests on the Mike Douglas show?

  • Jesus, I know the Stooges were all short, but wow. Moe's short. lol

  • Legends of slapstick comedy.

  • He said it farce, not slapstick. Never before released interview on July 30 or 31 on Howard 101.

  • nyuk nyuk nyuk !

  • Thank you Moe for making me laugh. :)

  • its funny to me to see some one in color that i only seen in black an white. wish i could see the rest of the stooges in color.

  • kinda like i love lucy

  • If you look around, many of the original short films have been colorized.

  • im neat their colorizing them.

  • Thanks for posting these. It is wonderful to see Moe, once again, recounting the good old days of comedy.

  • Wow...probably the only time comedy great Moe Howard & stage and screen star Laurence Harvey ever shared the same stage! Moe & Laurence had more than show biz in common....they were both born to Eastern European Jewish parents! Long live the Stooges....remember...."Just Say Moe!"

  • I didn't realize how short Moe Howard was. What was his height?

  • About 5'4". They were all short. Shemp was the tallest at 5'6"

  • I always prefered The Stooges over Laurel And Hardy and Marx Brothers because I was a kid! Also, their stories were usually pretty solid.

  • Moe is the brain of the Stooges with a stron personality who took upon himself much of the responsability for his two brothers & the life of the trio I think. But at the same tiime he was a real nice guy & honest person.

  • moe was the leading star of the three stooges

  • my 8th grade schoolteacher was moe howard's best friend. after he learned that moe passed away in '75 and i went to the ninth grade in another school, i was told that my schoolteacher couldn't hold up the passing of moe howard. he was found ''dead'' in his sleep and i assumed that he became affected by moe howard's death.

  • he died from lung cancer not in his sleep either and his wife died from a heart attack the same year lol.

  • uberowners.....I think ozky was saying his schoolteacher died in his sleep, not Moe.

  • yeah i realized that almost a month ago lol

    it was late.

  • One of The Original Three Stooges!!!???

How About, "The Leader of The Three Stooges"?

  • Moe you are a national treasure

  • moe-larry-curly is the best trio ^_^

  • i would add shemp too but not joe and curly joe

  • he reminds me so much of my grandpa.

  • I would've had Moe slap me, it would've been an honor.

  • AW ! What did you do that for Moe ?

  • In 200 years peolpe will still watch and love the stooges.

  • R.I.P. Moe!

  • Thank you so much for uploading this! Too funny!

  • We Love you Moe!!

  • i'd never have found this if not for xdeathrowworker having it in faves. awesome posting. i remember this even tho i was but a lad when it aired. miss the original 3

  • nice to see him

  • Lawrence Harvey starred in the remake of the classic Of Human Bondage. He was excellent.

  • did anybody that Larry Fine AKA Porcupine published his memoir in a book called 'a strok of luck' in 1973.. it would be so nice to find a copy.

  • Do you have any Mike Douglas shows with Muhammad Ali from the 1960s and 1970s. If so please post. Thank you for posting this video.

  • he sounds like he did in the show

  • Wow, this was the first time i saw moe howard in color and out of character. In this video he's a sophisticated man not a stooge.

  • "We'd stand back to back and clip 'em from every angle." = One of the raddest things I've ever heard. Badass.

  • It would have been great to have been there. The legends on that stage.....AWESOME!!!! Thanks for this post!!!!

  • wow the best

  • Soupy Sales is in awe of this legend, I've never seen him at a loss for words before

  • Grande Moe Howard . Tenho 50 anos e até hoje assiste o filme dos rapazes

  • was he promoting a new book?

  • Hey, it's Bernie Ecclestone!

  • Except Bernie doesn't have a since of humor.

  • The three stooges are legends forever !

  • Love the Stooges. Thanks for posting.

  • I could watch this all day!

  • Moe your my greatest stooge!!

  • Mine as well! I love Moe and his Three Stooges

    SHEMP-LARRY & CURLY!

  • what year was this? 74?

  • The Three Stooges will never stop to make me laugh :) thanks.

  • Great video.

Nothing like hearing the actors speak of their careers and recollections. Especially when they achieved world reknowned status like the Three Stooges , did. Hell , I just bought a dvd set of them and it's 2008. True talent never goes out of style. Thanks for posting !

  • EL MEJOR!! UNICO!! / THE BEST!! THE ONLY!! - Hay una version en español de la entrevista? / Is there a spanish language version of this interview? - Por favor, PONGANLA!! / Please SHOW IT!!

  • No, no hay. Yo ya busqué... / No, there isn't. I did find, but no...

  • I dont know 1 man that does not like the stooges

  • I'm not sure what Estra is trying to say but watching him at this late stage in life is not what I want to remember. I never found Part 1 but it's still not the same as seeing them doing what they do best?

  • Moe: Capo comediant of my live. Fabian Tappari - From: Trelew - Chubut - Argentina

  • what year was this interview?? had to be in the sixties i would think

  • 1973
