I think its a very good effect, but the sound is out of time, i think the explosion sound should of taken place wen lightening hit the ground the sound for the gravel could of been brought back a lil bit, The Effect it self is amazing, i think i'll try something like that once i've finished my project I'm on now lol :)
is there a type of filter you use? I mean it looks so bright. all your movies kinda. do I like how that looks. E-mail me what kind of camera you use again.
