  • I love how real his video's were. <3

  • 2:20-2:42, most psychedelic image I've ever seen!

  • acidy lol him and Chris Cornell are like my favorite singers ever

  • Muy bueno para este mundo :(

  • God this is beautiful. Thank you Jeff.

  • Buckley po jaką cholerę lazłeś do tej rzeki? :(:(;( Moje serce krwawi a dusza płacze ;(;(:(

  • @IwA1985 a może to illuminati?

  • ahh! grr! siempre se mueren los mejores...

  • when i hear jb i think of jeff buckley (not) justin bieber !

  • Okay. So, the part where the orangu-rillas steal Jeff's bike is pure 90's schmaltz and I hate myself for loving it. But the very best parts of the vid are the random scenes of NYC (what, what) and Jeff's impassioned and sexy performance of this truely delicious song. R.I.P., my man.

  • 1:15 look at the jaw of the guy sitting in green, So Strange!

  • can anyone tell me where this video was shot? looks like brooklyn

  • All I have to say, is I'm 15, I'm watching this video in 2012...and I wish I lived through the 80s. Not for the drugs, or whatever else the 80s are known for, but the music. My goal is to listen to music like this to find inspiration, and help bring back music that made sense, that had meaning, not the useless music we have today. A new generation with a respect for the music of the past...who's with me?

  • @SasuNaruWillNotDie This song and album is from the 90s. Not the 80s

  • rebecca black has 17,656,640 views but Jeff has 420,462

  • @suemetalhead666 No there's something wrong there. o.x

  • Bill Hicks, Jeff Buckley and Kurt Cobain all left us wayyyy to early... and yet the Bieber's and Gaga's of this world get to run amok in their absence.

    There is no justice :(

  • I was in a Jeff Buckley mood today .... I mean everyday

  • I thought he was gonna kick some monkey ass :/

  • cool bike

and you know mind blowing music, but I do really like that bike

  • im pretty open minded but if you dont liek jeff buckley youre probably a bad person

  • "it sucked me in and pulled me under" how ironic

  • I hate how I want to watch Jeff Buckley, but get Pitbull saying "Dale" instead... It's very aggravating, and I think Vevo needs to target their ads a lot better

  • Do you think if Jeff Buckley was ugly his talent would be overlooked? He probably wouldn't have as many female fans writing on youtube videos saying he was amazing. It's sad but true. Anyway this is one of my favorite Buckley tunes , one of the vocal highlights on Grace for me!

  • @SinForgiven

I think there are plenty of straight men who praise his talent as well.

  • @balancetrembling As a straight man I can honestly say Jeff Buckley's good looks add bias to my overview of his body of work.

  • @SinForgiven i dont think it would have mattered... his talent and amazing voice would melt hearts and captivate audiences either way.. plus, he's not that good looking.

  • @ivyspanksahoe As mean as your comment initially sounded, I have to agree. Jeff is handsome, but that wasn't what I noticed when I first heard his music/saw his videos. If he was in any other profession, he'd be average looking. His talent intensifies his beauty, per se.

  • sexy

  • One of my favorites. I wish I would have liked him as much back then as I do now and got to see him live. I was 18 or so when he died and I am only now just really discovering him. He was really something special.

  • @squackly I agree, but it seems like a collision of the dreams of everyone in the world, overlapping and getting in each others way. I think Jeff is trying to express the blurred line between reality and fantasy, where the events of the past, present or even the future (real or fictional) influence our understanding of the world around us, and his own attempts of harnessing the potential within such a mindset; the concept of freedom from the restrictions of time and memory. :]

  • Greatest album ever!

  • 15 people have herpes

  • I wasn't sure if this video was really making any sense any more and by 2:20 I kinda just lost it LOL

  • I love the part when he falls over when being pushed it reminds me of charlie Chaplin when he falls over

  • @wipers86 yeah, me too, haha

  • this song is pure class ,in my mind when this song is playin' i imagine a great castle and kings and queens dancing to this song ........ no need to say i find this video disapointing specially with those gorillas in it and that guy making cheeseburgers

  • Oh that was so real

  • What the HELL is going on in this video? I like Buckley, but this video literally makes no sense whatsoever. So confusing. I want to enjoy the song but the utter randomness of imagery kind of gets in the way.

  • @cactusdawg23 It's quite like a dream. Fragments, sensations, moments and such. It's beautiful :)

  • @cactusdawg23 Does it have to make sense?

  • amazing dark voice. happy fright night

  • Wow it's weird having a vevo opening to this. I remember staring at my ceiling teary eyed at 13 thinking this was the most eye-opening and deep album I had ever heard. I carried his sadness as my sadness. The opener to this song struck me so wickedly and the composition within each lyric tugs my innards towards a bottomless and immeasurably dark abyss. A true masterpiece of a soul's misery. I always thought this oddly related to the nature of his death, but I suppose most of them do.

  • @balancetrembling wait didnt buckley die in the river?

  • @balancetrembling heavy...

  • it made me sad when they took his bike

  • >that feel when Jeff got sucked in and pulled under :(

  • yes he looks sooo much like james franco!

  • love this song ..... his voice is amazing!

  • 13 people don't know what real good songs means

  • Oh He Was So Real

  • @Occulta11 *looked...

  • Great song but the video .... David Lynch type. He was in vogue in early 90s.

It doesn't match at all. IMHO. I remember watching this ... changed the channel when those apes appeared =)

  • @Occulta11 bit of Mark Wahlberg in there too...

  • Friends of mine complain that their favorite artist isn't making good/enough music. I tell them to shut up cause mine's dead. :(

  • @TheYogiBunnie cool story bro

  • @Occulta11 no i think james franco looks similar to jeff buckley and myles wishes he had the vocal ability of jeff and that he was that beautiful. but no i don't think jeff looks like any one, other than jeff buckley. but he especially doesn't look like any one that were born AFTER him.

  • r.i.p jeff buckley!!!!!!!

  • One of the best songs ever! Love Jeff Buckley <3

  • I just wish that the intro could last forever

  • love the intro on guitar. the way its played has so many imperfections but that is what makes it brilliant

  • i find myself wanting to time travel back to jeff's time and be there to experience what it was like just discovering this guy. now its 2011 and it doesnt feel right just now discovering and appreciating this guy. he really is fuckin amazing

  • This is so real music !!

  • Hey I just started a channel and covered two Buckley songs..check it out! Thanks.

  • I love that spooky theramin bit !

  • 1480 monkeys like this and like too steal bikes too lol

  • is a genious

int he grace dvd they sayed he made a walk around the block and then he got inspirated and made the lyrics in one tap...perfectness!

  • i love this song:)

  • Jeff es un ángel, Qué manera de trasmitir en sus canciones...

  • Man, this guy is such a legend. How could anyone be as talented and good looking at the same time? He's had to be an angel, if there ever was one.

  • jeff you make me real!!!

  • 1932 are soooo real

  • dream husband

  • how could you dislike him..

  • monkeys stole his bike at 2:08 , is that symbolism for niggas stole his bike?

  • @gatewaykiller1000 hahahahaah

    this made my day

  • Cute Jacket.

  • jeff buckley was a great song writer and a big influence to us, have a listen to our song.. lucid-behind the clouds

  • i can see a movie being made about his life with james franco as the lead

  • @bslz65 really, really???? is it official???? he would be the best actor to play him!! i feel strangely attracted to franco cause he has uncanny resemblance to jeff......

  • @icetea1977 oh im not sure hahaha. i just see such an uncanny reseblemance! someone should make it!

  • @bslz65 I think Heath Ledger would be better but hes dead =[

  • @bslz65 spot on

  • @bslz65 Are you sure of that? It'll be so amazing with James, he looks like Jeff!

  • 12 people have no respect for REAL music

  • I'll never forget the day he died. I still have my little newspaper clippings. He was from here, Orange County. Not a surprise that he was friends with Chris Cornell, who helped Jeff's mother work on Sketches. Two dynamic voices.

  • Jeff you set a bar of impossible heights for modern day artists to reach, much less surpass.

  • best male voice in history

  • @ajsledzep don't forget jim morrison, too.

  • @Talulah6 jim was cool and creative, but jeff's vocal range is way beyond jim's voice.

  • @ajsledzep very true.

  • I LOVE YOU JEFF!

  • god i love jeff buckley....

  • And I couldn't awake from the nightmare

    That sucked me in

    And pulled me under

    Pulled me under

  • Jeff gave us these wonderful gifts and God gave him a set of wings...R.I.P. You beautiful angel.

  • WOW

  • Great!

  • So sad this was before my time. I would have loved to see him play...

  • this guy doesn't have a bad song. It's amazing.

  • I cried when the monkey's stole his bike....

  • Sometimes I also feel like jumping into a freaking river to swin fully-clothed...

  • I wrote a lyrics for a song about him..but i don't know to compose music.. :/

  • never steped on the cracks incase i hurt my mother...

  • Jeff Buckley

  • Grace is the best album ever!!! But you have to listen with your heart and that is something most people can't!

  • Summer afternoon beach + loneliness + this song = bliss

  • Who are the 11 bastards ??Fuck them !!

  • Thank goodness he didn't have a kitten, wife or a human baby. Those songs would be too much to handle.

  • After 5 or 6 years listening to this album, I never noticed there was a "So Real" video (Shame on me).

    Anyways... Jeff I love you!

  • Jeff was as good looking as Jim Morrison and talented above all of them.

  • Radiohead anyone? Who Nicked who? Maybe it was just the Era.

  • @Laynefreeborn

I remember hearing Thom Yorke saying upon hearing Jeff Buckley he basically wrote The Bends. Layne Staley forever :)

  • @AidanMusik

Well there you go lol :) Layne, all day everyday!!!:)

  • I wish I could have experienced seeing Jeff live in concert... such a tragedy all good music and real artists are no longer around. RIP Jeff

you're music has helped me through so much <3

  • I thought I heard a circular saw in the middle.....

  • An artist.

  • I mean no offense but doesn't the fact that someone has passed away make their music so much more powerful? like Jeff was in the prime of his songwriting and his time was cut short, what if his next album wasn't what everyone expected it to be? what if he gradually deteriorated as a song writer? similar thing kurt cobain. however, I absolutely love Jeff and Nirvana, i just can't help but wonder what it may have been like with them still here.

  • @ThePhotomusic That wasn't offensive in the slightest, i think the same, maybe it wouldn't have been the same if they could have hung around.

  • @ThePhotomusic Maybe, but not Jeff Buckley. Even in the 90's, it was always uniquely gorgeous. So powerful. Is there anyone else I should listen to if I like Jeff?

  • @spinningthirdeye in terms of people to listen to, find jeff's 'live at sin-é' album and have a listen to that, try van morrison, led zeppelin, edith piaf, nusrat fateh ali kahn. but just stuff like that, hope it helps :)

  • @ThePhotomusic So you are saying he's one of a kind? :-D I guess I'd add Freddie Mercury in there too. Old R&B, not the new auto tuned soulless stuff.

  • @spinningthirdeye Sufjan Stevens, I guess!

  • @spinningthirdeye broken social scene and/or kevin drew

  • strange video :P

  • This is seriously psychadelic, amazing song

  • SAME HERE MAN A PERSON INTRODUCED ME TO JEFF I AM GREAT FUL 4 THAT ... BUT OF CORSE THE BEST IS ONLY MEMORABLE WEN ITS GONE ... WITCH IS Y HIM AND HIS MUSIC IS SO WORTHY OF OURS WORDS HERE AFTER.... RIP JEFF BUCLLEY SO MUCH MORE THAN ANYTHING EVER BEFORE.

  • I say all this to say ...I think J.B. was from the future and he was just fuckn with us, about the the possibilities.

  • This whole Jeff Buckley Phenom was SO strange ...He actually sang about how he would die in one of his songs on this album ....And he didn't commit suicide. STRANGE!

  • I'll never forget the first time I heard this guy some 15+ yrs ago. He had such a mastery over SOUND and his pipes ran on UNLIMITED. I was SO impressed. So upset when we lost him!

  • Man, if he had lived, and made a band with Robert Smith, Kevin Shields, Elizabeth Fraser, Robert Del Naja and Danny Carey, all other music would be obsolete.

  • When I saw this it reminded me of that stupid "Today I don't feel like doing anything" song, the one with the monkeys. Now we know where he (meaning the guy who did that song, whats his name? Bruno Mars, isn't it sad that I know his name) got his inspiration from... the best. Wonder if that guy has ever had an original thought?

I'm now hooked on Jeff, I wish he was still alive. RIP Jeff Buckley

  • I discovered Jeff Buckley by doing album cover art for a graphic design class project in 9th grade by a random choosing, and I actually liked him a lot so I put him on my iPod. :P

  • 4:05 Hot : ) : ) : ) : ) : )

  • heart freeze at 1:54

  • 10 people are not real. :)

  • @enigmatichobbit 12 now :(

  • @enigmatichobbit 13 people are not real. Unlucky for some!?

  • what a beautiful person ... just discovering him now, love the melancholy emotion in his songs .... anybody else think that he looks like James Franco?!
