lol....i never saw any of these comments.....maybe something to do with them detecting the music snippet...but it looks like there was some sort of liveliness. I will return up there in the spring of 2010....
The Royal Cannaught Hotel AIN'T so ""Royal" anymore!
I've got a friend that worked as a cook in there, he was laid off, and he moved on. I was able to tell him soon after that the place got closed down and conbemned.
@123JDB789 Pretty sure the building wasn't condemned when it closed. Not sure it's even condemned now, although apparently there's a lot of leaking from the roof into the upper floors.
This is a building I'd love to see the interior of as it is right now. I also hope someone buys it and brings it back to it's original condition!
Very cool. There must be a lot of Stories waiting to be written about this place. In Colorado we have Buildings that are abandoned I am sure, but we some cool Ghost Stories in ,Mountain Towns and mining town historiues that vare hard to math. My state is the state that had Ludlow's Massacre, and Colombine and Central City has an ineresting histroy, but gambling has over taken the town.
jef told me bout this place too, i used to do a fair bit of squatting in hamilton in different places, I don't squat anymore I should do what yall do hehe
Jef (white trash) fished out for me to take home, a nicely bound book about this hotel. And in it one can glean the story of the 20 year old bell hop who used to block the elevator doors so he could do his thing quick and get more tips,,,but one time he RAMS self thru doors and the car,,,,it aint there.,..and he plunges to his death.,,,becoming.,..well...a hotel death story.
wang....wanng....wangle doodle...Jef and The Missus cavalierly walked me to this diamond in the ruff. Felt like being in the Titanic. Underwear and beer boxes in the chandeliers. This hotel was the right and proper,,,,and saw the likes of lorne green, liberace, tiny tim, Johnny and the Missus Cash.
you mean the Band "Boston".,,,,and if you do...holy crap how sad,...I mean that you even believe your own silly notions. er...did you mean something else?

Lies and slander! That's purely "Foreplay" that I'm hearing. And I've been hearing it for a "Long Time."
