AND....Tarja has been hanging with them a little. Tuomas is letting her do several NIGHTWISH classics on her new album which release is scheduled to coincide somewhat with theirs. Marco seemed to think that Tuomas might be producer of her album. The Scorpions are her new support band. WOW!
The album for 2010 was post poned because Annette was pregnant. Marco told me in Sept that Tuomas was working on new tracks and they would officially record THIS COMING FEBUARY. LOOK FOR RELEASE MAR-APR 2011. Tarja may do some guest vocals- hold on to your seats. She also has a ROCK/PROG album being released about then. Check out her video WITH THE SCORPIONS which she put together for the album. GET THIS, THEY FEEL HONORED TO PERFORM WITH HER. I would to!

Nightwish are the best band ever. Few bands out there besides Disturbed and Sabaton can even nearly match them. Funny thing is I got into them after Anette joined but started of listening to the stuff with Tarja. When I first heard Amaranth i completely rejected it. But after a while it grew on me and I eventually had to admit that Anette was a worthy replacement. I still prefer Tarja but NW remain my favourite band from now until death!
@kingkong381 I completely agree with you man, there's just no other band thats as full and complete as nightwish :) I mean I've listen to the dpp album at least a 50 times and i find that every time I listen to it, its better than the previous time, thats a sign of true art. To be honest, I'm not really sure if I care which singer it is anymore, because nightwish is nightwish forever :)

@mjanota2 You never know something until you experience it, who knows you might end up really liking it. Globus, one of my favorite bands, are extremely epic and awesome but none of their five singers are all that strong and besides vocals aren't everything in a band.
it would have to be better then "design your universe" by epica, and I don't see that as a possibility.
not to mention Revamp launches this year. Love NightWish, but they don't have enough fire power in the vocal department to do anything epic. sad to say they are past their prime.
still looking forward to the album, but with low expectations, after all ONCE was the perfect album, theirs no way they could ever come close to that.

Everywhere I've looked, they've said that its coming out sometime in 2010. They've said that they'll be done with the recordings in spring so it will be sometime in the fall.
