During Holy Communion I receive the Holy Eucharist by the tongue, however I would like to kneel while receiving it on the tongue. But in my church there is no kneeler to use whilst receiving the communion, we have kneelers only in the pews, May I have any suggestion how I can talk to my priest about this, and in the case where I want to kneel whilst receiving the host, would is be ok just to kneel on the bare floor?
@sungmoon1987 Yes use the bare floor... They should have never removed the altar rails and if it takes you a little longer to get up its their fault. Kneel on the bare floor as long as you are able to get back up.
what about supplying the congregation with kneelers? There are many that wish to knee but simply due to their physical condition cannot, but could with assistance. Is there any clause in any official Church document that addresses this specific issue?
Kneelers are unnecessary to kneel. When you are in the presence of our lord you kneel even if you have to do on barbed wire. Its better to lose your knees than to be cast into hell.
Well Bishops and Priests have said we have the option to kneel, although (not to criticise) they do not provide kneelers to at least provide the option for "logistical" reasons.
