Thing is Bobby, at 6:37 when you're explaining the irrelavance of Danny's skin, the reason you don't notice it is because you worked with him for years and years! However, a court full of racist people won't see that, because they don't have the experience or memories the two of you have shared. Oh, and btw, the color of Obama's skin is definitely NOT irrelevant. No matter how big a disaster the last administration was, no one will ever look back and say "wow, we better not let another White guy be president!" one thing about youtube which really works for me is the fact that when you do something new it informs me of it, which is howcome I get to see all of the stuff you ulpload quickly after it is released. So I hope Llewbtube does that also otherwise I am unlikely to visit myself just to see if new stuff is there. Notification of new things is the key to success I would say.

Good to see your on-line channel is coming along, we need more of these. I'm doing a little experiment this year; I don't have a TV, it appears almost the programs I like to watch, can be watched on-line, either through the BBC iPlayer, or the other channels' on-line facilities, or buying episodes on iTunes...

The one thing I've noticed, is that the TV licensing rules are VERY fuzzy when it comes down to this. iPlayer is a private delivery of a freely offered program. But ITV's live stream is a different matter, mostly it's a connection from the server exclusively to my PC, but part of this live feed is one connection feeding many connections of viewers, or maybe a broadcast. Do I need a TV licence? lord knows. Could an out of touch judge who doesn't understand the internet convict me? Quite possibly.

Hope that things are all ok for Danny. I agree with the skin colour point. There was a great poster released near the end of the election campaign where they'd done some complicated computer wizardry and made Obama white and McCain black and it said "Let the issues be the issues."

Long time fan, first time poster. I have to admit, swearing is such an integral part of some cultures that I usually only notice it when it isn't there. Thanks for mentioning it. I think I should make an effort to reduce my swearing, if only so that when I do swear, it has a lot bigger effect in the appropriate situations.

I'm a big fan of Red Dwarf; I hope that things work out for Danny and also, here's to the next Dwarf news being a bit more positive.

I feel as though there is a diachotomy of people in our society. Those that do things for the betterment of their egos and those that do what is naturally right.

I see 2 types of people in the world good (selfless) or bad (selfish fucking twats). Unfortunatly in the uk selfishness is increasing. Those two exact thoughts have occurred to me indpendendtly recently - argubably the coolest dwarf characters, indeed the main character, happened to be black - and did it cross my mind or make the slightest bit of difference? - not at all. Similiarily I have said that Obama should go down in history not due to being the first african-american president but for being an icon regardless of skin colour - his speeches are pure class and hark back to days forgotten about.

I absolutely agree with you on the issue of colour, and I think it extends to other things as well, like sexual preferences. I think we should be able to make films and shows with people of all kinds of colours, cultures, gender and sexual preferences without it turning into some kind of a "statement" on the part of the show. That's part of what I love about Red Dwarf. I didn't even realise Craig was "black" until years after I started watching. Same thing with Torchwood and DrWho's view on sex.

I remember also discussing with other people who watched RD that one of the shows many strengths was its colour-blindness, it just was not an issue and that was great, hope it works out for DJJ.
