  • way better than the japanese version of this song in my opinion.

  • whats the name of this song?

  • 5:43 --->epicness >.<

  • The girl in the ending was that "chopins" sister? I mean, I know his sister was "irl" at his deathbed.

  • @quezcatol I think the dark-haired woman was Chopin's sister (earlier in the ending, before when this video happened, crying over his dead body), as his sister resembled that character much more closely appearance-wise. I'm guessing the blonde woman is Sands, though I don't think she had blonde hair in real life (might have to check that).

  • @BoredomGrey Actualy, Chopin's sister died at the age of 14. It is explained in the cutscene of chapter 4 (Grande Valse Brillante) on Crescendo's ship, so she couldn't be the dark haired woman, which looks a bit more like George Sand, but in the real story of Frederic, Sand wasn't even keeping him compagny while he was on his death bed. The characters in Chopin's room could be anyone.

  • @satanicpercussion Chopin also had an older sister. And while it's true that Sands wasn't present during his death, his death sequence wasn't exactly what it was in real life either.

  • Awesome song for an awesome game ^_^ I prefer the japanese version though. And both singers sound the same. I wonder if it is the same? Does anyone know who sings this song?

  • @EsperTinaVI never mind, I just saw in the credits the singer for both versions is indeed the same person, Akiko Shinada. What a lovely voice she has ^_^

  • why this song made me sad

  • This a beautiful rip! So crisp and clear! =]

  • I've never even heard of this before today, but this scene right here almost made me cry. XD

  • I love this game I have beat it 3 times. lol.

  • I love this music and the whole game. Eternal Sonata :_)

  • Comment removed

  • The other lady is probably Jane Stirling. She has been Chopin's housekeeper in his final years.

  • My heart pounds every time I watch this. It really is one of the best ending credits ever.

  • This is in italian. I have heard both versions. Plus, I recognize a few italian words...

  • anyone got the lyrics?^^

  • i love 1:36-1:42 this song is soo deep...

  • I love it ! <3

  • wait so is that girl george sand? the girl in chopin's REAL life?

  • No. That girl is Ludwika, Chopin's most lovely sister after Emilia.

  • oh arigato wwerme-san

  • @Nakamaman

It is a girl from real life but its not very clear who she is.

  • Emm.. I tought it was italian.. :S... but also i heard there is a japonese version

  • english version - sung in italian

    japanese version - in japanese

  • I love this song! The game was so moving. Stuff like this is a one off though, like a true master piece or genius like chopin!

  • They're ALL italian ^^ I'm italian and I understand wht the vocalist say xD

  • But their all Polish O_o;;

  • could you please tell me what shes saying please!!! D:

  • Me too!

  • So, is this song sung in Polish?

  • You know? Now that I'm listening to it better it really seem that many part are in italian! O_o

  • I think it might be latin... Which is the main language used in music, and is also one of the main roots of many European languages. It also originated in Italy. :D

  • that song is beautiful, it perfectly fits for the game and it's ending...

  • I love this beautiful song. It makes me think of my one true love. She is amazing. And so is her voice. I just imagine her singing, and all. I just want to kiss her to the sound of this song.

  • Thank you for posting the entire ending. My Xbox 360 got the "red ring" right before I could finish so I never got to see it. So thanks!

  • very graceful ending

  • This game needs a sequal. there are still too many questions unanswered.

  • a sequel may ruin the magic of this game, something are better left unanswered, so we ourselves can interpret as we see fit

  • This is a really beautiful song. Great job Master LL. As always.

  • So overall Masta L, did you enjoy this game?

  • Yup I did, enjoyable. Pretty good game.

Probably 7.5/10 in my rating at the end.

  • Yeah, it's only flaw is really the story, which fell apart about halfway through. Seriously why did we go after Legato after he turned giant dragon again?

  • Ummm.... because thats how most games are. Ya gotta go after the bad guy!!!^^" sorry me ebing random but I still have to beat the game though....

  • But it was pointless to pursue him. Frederich and everyone didn't have to follow him. Legato wasn't even a vital character from the get-go.

  • He rent apart the barriers of reality with a roar, they could not let someone so dangerous run free. That is how I saw it.

  • I suppose, but if they left him there, it wouldn't have mattered.

  • How do they know he would have stayed there? They didn't even know where there was. They couldn't chance it.

  • I don't think Legato was planning on coming back. The Elegy of the Moon is literally Purgatory for the powder victims' souls

  • But how do they know for sure? They just defeated the biggest threat to their home, they would not chance another potential threat to run free. You can't take a chance if you are the only hope your world has.

  • I should think so. I don't think Legato was coming back, and it was best to leave him there.

  • You don't think he was? That means shit all. Think =/= Know. They had no clue about where he was or what would happen if they just left him. They had the choice of leaving this thing that could rip apart the world in some unknown place, or they could ensure this potential threat was dealt with. You THINK? Sorry, but that is NOT a good thing to potentially gamble the safety of your home on.

  • Dude, Walter Cronkite, will you relax? I was under the theory that portal he opened would close on its own. I thought it would have been better for Retto and co. to just go back and tend to other matters regarding the peace of the kindgoms, such as cleaning up the mineral powder. This is where the story fell apart for me so I felt like this part was forced on the game. That's all. You don't need to get so defensive. Sheesh = /

  • I'm not being defensive, I just get into it heavily when debating, just the way I am. Anyway, as it stands a theory is nothing but a guess, and in this case a guess they could not chance it. If there is any chance this dimension ripping monster could cause havoc, they could not risk it. Cleaning up the mess seems kind of secondary to this enormous very powerful monster of unknown power and motives.

  • It didn't look like he was planning on using that roar to do that though. Since Legato's mind is gone in his new form, I wouldn't imagine he'd even know how to do it again. Like I said though, this is where the story fell to pieces for many people, so it's not like there's a lot to debate.

  • Being mindless with that much power isn't much better. In the end it all comes down to risking letting him go or taking him out then and there. Sensible thing is then and there, but whatever.

  • I suppose so. He drank Super Mineral Powder so he obviously wasn't like the rest.

  • As the game says, the mineralpowder kills people, if they take too much. Well.. first they become some kind of insane monsters.

Even one of the souls at Elegy says that it doesn't matter if the party follows Legato or not - he would die soon enough.

And because Legato became a monster in an instant, I think he wouldn't live long enogh to cause real trouble.

    (Sorry for my bad english)

  • What happened to Legato is VERY different then what happened to everyone else, they went insane and had strong magic, they didn't change into a giant reality ripping monster.

Maybe the special powder would have killed him soon, maybe it would not have actually killed him, the simple fact is they didn't know ANYTHING for certain. They knew NOTHING of what that advanced mineral powder would do or what effects it might have.

    (continued in next post)

  • They could NOT take the chance. Even if there is only a 1% chance of him doing anything, they could not risk it.

They finally had Count Waltz out of the picture, why leave an unknown and potentially dangerous situation to chance?

    Very simple.

  • I'm not sure if this is also in the 360 version, but in the PS3 version, Legato is also accompanied by Waltz, both when you go after them, and when you fight Ruined Body (Legato). I think the developers may have added that tidbit in the transition from 360 to PS3 exactly because of what you said; there really was no need to follow Legato if Waltz was dead. So they put Waltz back in :D

  • So Waltz is left alive until you fight them in the other world? I guess that does make things more interesting, but not by much

  • @Flegan777 because when you dont leave friends behind

  • I believe the language here is Italian, although there's another version in Japanese.

For all the meandering the plot did, this was certainly a very good and poignant ending, it brought a tear to my eye.

  • wat language is this if anyone knows?

  • what a nice song
