  • Model 7

  • @rhett443 yea I had often thought the same thing due to the fast wind up and tall motor, but the motor tag was missing and the tag on the housing was missing so I dont know for sure

  • caro amico vorrei saper il rivenditore della sirena mi serve per lavoro

  • Sounds like a 2001.

  • That's pretty big!

  • We have a Model 5 on our water tower- it was last used two years ago as a noon siren. Someday with the replacement of the water tower I may get a hold of the thing. It is a 3-phase 5hp unit from the 1930s.

  • Wered You Get It

  • it is a tad underpowered.well i think

  • I dont think so. This is one of the faster model 5's Ive seen. This model 5 has the Northwestern 7 1/2 horse motor. We also checked the voltage there and had right at 240 volts.

  • That thing sounds great

  • My local beach has a model 5 as a tsunami siren.

  • the model 5 on the firwe station up here looks just like that

  • the model 5 when u look at it it looks like the top intake has eyes

  • dude...thats creepy!

  • is this the siren from the davidson fire department? it sounds more high pitch in that clip.

  • no, this siren is not the same. Davidson still uses the one in the other video for fire calls. I dont know why it sounds higher pitched, may be because Davidson's is a 3 phase and this one is a single phase

  • when a fire dept. gets rid of one would it be a hassel to get it from them or do they say no

  • it all just depends, we have had some that dont mind and some that say no. but it can never hurt to ask

  • hi i wanted to ask one more question the local fire house siren sounds good but how much damage does it take before they get ride of it?

  • well in our case there has been a lot of urbanization, these sirens made people mad so they are no longer used OR the FD expanded there building and took it down, that is how we got the siren in this video, the motors in these sirens are simple and if something has gone wrong a motor shop can usually fix it.

  • please tell me your not going to use that thing as your response siren? if you would that would be kick ass

  • My Model 5 sounds very similar to this one, and I did not even change the brushes! Good job with the clean up, TLC sure does pay off with things like these.

  • Jeez I had no Idea they were that big!

  • i dare you to listen without ear plugs... merry christmas!

  • Thanks for posting this model 5, because this is my favorite siren.

  • nice red christmas tree

  • it would be dick like of ur friends if they wound it back up wen u were gittin the closeup haha
