when i was a young girl i couldnt sleep so my father would sing this to me till i did fall asleep. this song made me and my father close then when i grew up my father and i dont talk hardly anymore it makes me wonder if he still feels the same way as he did when i was younger. although now i cant hear this song without having happyness tears go down my face.
I cry every time I hear this song. I am currently living with my best friend's parents, who have adopted me as another daughter and this song reminds me and her dad. He is the closest thing I have to a dad in my life. Because of things I have gone through in my past, my best friend's dad has been more of a dad than I've ever had. He makes me feel like I am his daughter and it doesn't matter that I am not really biologically his daughter. Thanks for being there for me, "Daddy"! I love you!
I have self esteem problems partly because of an abusive childhood as well as being bullied by schoolmates when I was a kid. In fact as a teen and in my early 20s I struggled with suicidal thoughts because I thought I was a waste of food and air that could be better used on other people. This song REALLY lifts my self esteem as it is a reminder of what GOD thinks of me so what I or man think isn't important.
wow! thank you for sharing this song...I really needed it tonight! I have in the last few years lost my parents...this makes it feel a little easier..THANK YOU!
me and my dad have been having issues and when i was in the car i turned the radio on and this song came on. i started crying when i heard it. now i listen to it all the time.
my dad abandon me and he told me he wouldn't when my mom and dad broke up but he did so I was hurt 6 years later mom has a new boyriend and child with this boyfriend so I felt alone and still feel a lone except for my best friend XOriginalBuildermanX she is in a band listen to her song with them if you can she is always there for me and i can be angry at her and be not scared I will lose her Amen
I was all alone. My Dad died when I was young, and I'd recently lost my Mom. I was driving along when I was struck by the thought that I was an orphan. I switched on the radio hoping to cheer up, and "You're My Little Girl" was the first song to play! I stopped the car and sobbed. God was speaking directly to my heart through the words of this song! That was 11 years ago, and I thank "Go Fish", for reminding me that I am not alone or unloved! Through Jesus Christ I

I just came across this song completely by accident and it's exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you God for always being there!
