Indian team reached the finals of WC 2003 because of Ganguly's efforts ? Please tell us his efforts with the bat in that WC. What did he do apart from scoring 3 tons against 3 non-Test playing nations in that tournament ? He averaged less than 20 in the remaining matches of the WC 2003.
Would you please let us know his contributions with the bat in WC 2003 please ?

And before speaking about captaincy matter, keep in mind I'm talking about batsmanship. Let him remain the most successful captain of India, I have no problems with it cuz I'm not interested in it. I have no problems admitting that he is India's best captain.

FYI i wasnt talking about only his batting. its not just the batting that makes a team ok? a good team need a leader who know how to guide the other memebers in the squad..he shoudl have the aggressiveness to lead a team with pride and grace..its also the experience the person has..its not just batting...if it was just batting...why was anil kumble made the captain of the team??? coz of his 'batsmenship'? I THINK NOT.
and all these qualities made him the successful captain who LEAD india to WC.

Oh really ? What did he do as a captain in the WC2003 ? India lost both the Test and ODI series in New Zealand before the WC2003. In that WC, India won it's first game against Holland where Ganguly again got out on single digits. And in the next match India lost to Australia shamefully and Ganguly, instead of coming down the order, demoted Sehwag down the order. The whole of India was baying for his head. At that time Sachin came out and asked them to keep patience.
