@theshredder39 As far as I'm aware, the major difference between the Wii and PS2 version is the unlockable Z Battle Modes that require the previous Budokai Tenkaichi discs. I bought the PS2 version because that came out in Australia first, several months before the Wii version.

dude, you gave a a DBZ game for GBA 9/10 (that's the rating I recall) and you give this awesome game just a 7/10?
First of all, it has amazing graphics.
Second of all, the game will keep you playing for a long time, I'm sure it will.
Third of all, it's the only DBZ game that has had this many characters + transformations, it's just awesome, especially the fact that it also includes basically all GT characters such as Goku SSJ4 and Baby Vegeta.
In your video about this, I've also noticed that Goku SSJ4 and Vegeta SSJ4 can actually fuse and form Gogeta SSJ4. That is something extremely rare and this game is the only one to include it and I don't know if there's also a Vegito SSJ4 present in this game.
Fourth of all, the only thing it lacks compared to all other DBZ games is an RPG mode and what if scenario's and some results from those such as Vegeta SSJ3 (which was included in Raging Blast).
@TheDbzgtaf I've said in more recent months that it all depends on what you look for in these kinds of games. Personally, I think Infinite World is better. I've gotten a lot of flack over the review of BT3 in the past and I think people tend to forget that its one of my early ones. Even if I were to review it in the style I do these days, I would more than likely write BT3 off as basically being BT1 with more characters, a slightly better fighting system, and better graphics (to be continued)

@TheDbzgtaf As I said in my review of Infinite World, if you've either played or own Budokai 3, you're not missing out on much in comparison to Budokai 3. There are only a handful of new characters, with some older characters and Super Moves taken out. I think its still pretty fun for what it is, and I like that its an interesting mish-mash of all the Budokai games (inc Burst Limit) but out of the Budokai series, I still think 3 is the best installment.

Man I've been playin this game for the last week straight. I've had it since it came out, and I play it every once in a while. It's my fav out of em, but it would be so much better if they did like on Budokai 2 where Buu can absorb Cell and Vegeta, and more characters can fuse, like Goku and Hercule. And a "What If?" saga match that has Goku and Gohan successfully fusing like they intended to do while fighting Super Buu.
Just a tip... don't do like I did and buy the japanese version. It's freaking hard to understand... That way you just play for the fun of it, but without acomplishing anything (like the Shen Ron wishes and stuff). By the way, a question for those who have the english version: after you beat one of the chalenges of the "Mission 100", the game does not autosave. Can I manually save it? If I can, please explain with details, so that I can "find" it in the game. Thanks a lot =)
Bit late for that, dude. I wont say the game's not fun, but as I've said since doing this review, looking back on BT3 I felt the main mode in this game could've had so much more going for it than it ultimately did, and IMO it is one area in which I think Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and Raging Blast are superior (BT2 because you can do a bit of exploration and not just play through the show's fights in order, and RB for giving the freedom to choose which fights to play from the get-go)
I'm a big fan of Dragon Ball Z, and I have to say I love Budokai 3, and Tenkaichi 2 and 3. Tenkaichi 3 is my favorite because of all the new characters (No. 18,, Fasha,Zangya, Videl, Broly, and Cooler are my favorites,) Great review by the way.

Am I the only person who thinks the Budokai series has lost some of it's edge and freshness? I mean every knew instalment almost always offers the same bland upgrades such as the soundtrack, characters and other little generic features. With every sequel, we get more obscure characters (I mean seriously Tavion?) irritatingly revised controls and barely altered graphics. Burst Limit was such a disappoint, even my DBZ Super Fan friend disliked it.

its kid goku from gt he was turned back into a kid by emperor pilaf accidentaly using the black star dragon balls. even though he was a child again he retained all of his strength and ability to transform... he also goes ss4 in this form but when he does he returns to normal size while transformed. hope i cleared that for ya!

In one time you're fighting as Vegeta vs. Fat Buu and next is battle as Vegetto. oO Where is battle, when you fight as Gohan, Gotenks? Story Mode just sucks, it's really short. I agree with the note, that ImpulseKid86 gave DBZ: BT3.

BT2 had the worst story mode, just b3 with blocks standing around. stop crying about missing fights, seriously is it that important. at least the story mode is well-done.

wel i think bt3 is better than b3 bcuz there is more characters, stages, easier 2 get new characters, n more bonus mode, more costumes, more tournement modes, and a shorter storymode so it duzent take 4ever like b3.they both r good thats y i got both of them but i go with bt3.

budokai 3 is better it feels more like a dbz game than tenkaichi although it doesnt have many characters butt its enough to keep you glue your eyes on the tv and ultimate atacks look so much better

yea the story mode wasnt as good which i understand y u gave it a 7/10 but i still think this is the best dbz game made. hopefully they add the Japanese tracks to the game as well as a better story mode and it would be even better. BTW ppl who say this is a button mashin game dont kno wat the hell they talkin about if u dont kno how to defend and counter in this game youll get ur ass beat everytime.

this is a good game but i personally think the story mode didnt do as good as bt2's. i know a bunch of ppl r giving u crap about giving it a 7/10, but i think it deserves that because after u beat the incredibly short story, thers nuthin much to do left.

Firstly, I call them as I see them. I personally think the story mode in Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is better because unlike this game and the first one, the main mode allows you to do other things besides just picking and playing through a fight. If you dont like what I have to say, fine, but you dont need to insult me just to get your point across.

All three Super Saiyan 4's should be unlocked by beating the Dragon History GT chapter "Undead Monster!?" (or "Immortal Monster" in the US release).

I would say the graphics are roughly even between the two systems, although the Wii version looks a little more polished.

its kid goku from gt he was turned back into a kid by emperor pilaf accidentaly using the black star dragon balls. even though he was a child again he retained all of his strength and ability to transform... he also goes ss4 in this form but when he does he returns to normal size while transformed. hope i cleared that for ya!
