  • 3:50 those are such cheeky little ride hits

  • I got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell

  • when my parents suddenly came in i switched from this to porn, thats easier to explain..

  • Hahaha, I like that :-)

  • okay that's enough cowbell

  • There's no such thing as enough cowbell, hahaha...

  • @boinghd

Totally, this sounds like west L.A. queer music!!

  • "Wicked"? Yep,this guy is good. He`s better than most "drummers" on YouTube.

  • your amazing! do you make a living just off making DnB beats? would love to konw thinking about pursuing it!

  • Thanks mate :-) I've been making a living with music since my early twenties, but not with D&B beats. Gigging, teaching, publishing drum books etc. Would love to make a living just with D&B, but that's not easy.

    Cheers

  • @Jungleritter Ill keep that in mind. also if you have any of the songs on this video in mp3 format I would love to have them, simply trancetastic :D

  • The songs are available on CDBaby com or on iTunes, just search for "Ydna Murd" and you'll find them in Mp3 format.

    Cheers

  • do you have any endorsements?

  • No, I'm not endorsed by any company

  • @Jungleritter you should google saluda cymbals they custom make cymbals to any thickness and size that you want, but they have varying degrees of endorsements, if you were to email them and tell them about your videos and how many views you have im certain they would give you some sort of endorsement

  • Thanx for the tip, I'm gonna check them out :-)

  • would be great to hear this without the tempo but hey good work.

  • I Love the way your kit is set up, it looks very playable. Your soo relaxed when you play, you make it look easy! Sick drummer

  • Thanks mate, I really appreciate it :-)

  • do i hear the synths from "another planet" by pendulum in the intro?

btw, YOU ARE THE MOST EPIC DRUMMER I HAVE EVER SEEN! Certainly a gigantic inspiration to me and several others :)

  • Hey mate, thanks so much for the kind words :-) I just checked another planet but I can't hear that we were using the same synth sound, but you never know nowadays, everybody is using the same plugin's and software synths, everything became so cheap and accessible, which is really cool :-)

    Cheers from Canada

  • Needs less cowbell

  • needs more cowbell

  • ive got to say dude ive watched every one of your videos and what stands out to me the most, besides the completely sick drumming, is your high hats theyre just so crisp and they go with the music so well. i just wanted to say great job man i really enjoy your vids and you've inspired me to take up DNB drumming and thanks to you im getting pretty good, thanks for posting the vids man.

  • Hey, thanks for the really kind words mate, that's great to hear !! :-)

    Take care

  • KILL THAT COW, PUT ME OUTA MY MISERY!!

I USED TO LIKE COWS............NOW I HATE THEM!!

  • i love what youre doing...and ALL the gems and jewels you share with us in your videos...i just got a jungle sonor snare today. the way you customized yours is creative. FUNTIMES

  • Thanks, I really appreciate it! Have fun with your Sonor drum :-)

  • use some more cymbals please! watched lots of your vids and kinda getting bored of hi-hat! but still some amazing stuff!! (:

  • Still enjoy this video everytime i watch it!!

  • amazing brother!!!

  • Thanks, mate!

  • you're doing something wrong when the first thirty seconds of the video is a still introduction to nothin'

  • I gotta have more Cowbell ! :P

Loving the tunes, but please tell me that when we buy them, it'll be the track minus drums AND COWBELL !?

  • Gotta love Christopher Walken for that, hahaha. The play-alongs come with the cowbell because there are many sections in the songs where there are only pads, atmospheres, this would be very hard to play along without the cowbell. It resembles the live-on-stage situation where you would have to play along with a click or cowbell.

  • Your metronome is incredibly annoying. But, good drumming either way.

  • I love how in 0:38 you to the crash like "I'M COMING TO YOU" and then you hit it :P haha

  • Yeah, funny, just watched it. I think I wasn't sure if I wanted to hit the crash or the china splash on top of it. Too many choices,hahaha...

  • Can you make a list of your cymbals please? thanks and congratulation 4 all videos

  • Thanks :-) There's an equipment list on my webpage drumgate . com

Everything I use is listed there. I switch my cymbals sometimes, especially the ride and some of the effect cymbals. Check it out and let me know if you wanna know something specific.

  • @Jungleritter thanks a lot man :P

  • nice vid ;) and awesome to see UFIP used around the world :) good luck

  • Thank you! Ufip cymbals are actually my favourite cymbals, I wish there would be a store here selling them :-))

  • @Jungleritter eheh someone still loves made in Italy!! ;) keep it up, good job!!

  • THE TRACKs FROM 0:01-1;00 is amazing!

also FROM 1:21 to 2:10 what are the name sof thes etwo songs ? also are ou postng play along lessons? i hope so!

  • You can preview the songs for free at iTunes or CDBaby and then pick the ones you like. I use them almost daily, they're great for trying out beats without having the drum loops cluttering the track. What do you mean with Play-Along lessons? To show and explain drum beats you can use with these songs? That's something I wanna do in the near future..

    Cheers

  • You make awesome beats AND tracks to go with them. ;-)

  • thanks for another great video you don't know how much your videos have helped me get better as a drummer thanks again keep it up

  • That´s nice to hear, thank you :-))

  • " Maybe morality does only the cruelest form of wickedness..."

" La morale n'est peut-être que la forme la plus cruelle de la méchanceté..."

    ( Henry Becque )

    "..."

  • Nice drumming;) you should check a danish d&b drummer called Anders Meinhardt!

  • Thanx! I know Anders, he´s one of the best :-))

  • dope.

  • Silly question but I have to ask - The metronome sound isn't on the cd is it? =p

  • That´s actually a very good question :-) The metronome is on the CD, of course, since these are play-alongs. They simulate what you would have to deal with in a live situation: playing along with a sequenzer/DJ/laptop, you name it.

  • @Jungleritter

I'm not a drummer but I love your music, is there anyway to obtain your music without the click track?

  • No, sorry, the songs are only available with the click. They are meant to be play-alongs, I haven´t recorded drums to them yet.

  • i think i'm going to try to do what you did to your sonor.

thanks for the idea man. you're great.

  • Thanx :-) Let me know if it worked out..

    Cheers

  • old school l.

  • nice jams, I'm itchin to play the drums now

    Cheers

  • as always, an inspirational piece of music, my friend! Best to you...

  • I wanna see you playing in a trad grip XD hehee

  • I heard something making a low cow bell kinda noise throughout the video. I think it was something you heard to help you keep the pace of the music but I'm not sure if we're supposed to hear it. Everything sounded pretty good though. Dunno could be my speakers.

  • This is called a click-track, that´s something you need most of the times to be able to play with sequenced music. You would´t be able to play those play-along songs without it.

  • 3:49 was fucking awesome!!!

  • i really like your videos but... when do you use your toms? lol (just kidding don`t get me wrong)

  • Yeah, they got a little dusty lately :-)) My video "A conversation with my drums" uses a lot of toms, check it out. D&B music doesn´t need more than one tom, but that´s a hybrid kit since I play other styles as well.

    Cheers

  • @Jungleritter yes it was just a random comment, and thanks for telling me about that video above, i`m heading there right now. Keep it up! :)

  • Think I'll be picking this up probably on itunes, great stuff man, keep it up.

  • And my birthday is coming up soon :)

  • I luv ur videos!

  • in this video i could finally see what foot pedals u use and well it are exactly the same as mine :) nice drumming there

  • may I ask, what exactly is that snare on your far left?

  • That´s a Sonor Jungle Snare custom build. Turned upside down with a metal plate attached, I called it my Trash Snare :-)) Great for D&B style

  • I think there us too much outside music.

I can barely hear the drums.

Maybe a little bit exagerated background music or it's just the drums very low in volume.

  • yeah i think the drums are a bit undermixed.

  • sick man, do you program the rest of what is non-percussion? pretty "up" beat and euphoric i like.

  • Thanx mate :-) I programmed all the parts and some have live guitars in there as well as live played small percussion.

    Cheers

    Ydna

  • Great stuff man. If I ever get the money to get the CD, I'll definetly get it:P

  • Really cool. :>
