Its from an old camera phone, its bad but at least it gives a few hints ay? I put it up as no one else had at the time, anything was better than nothing. No need to see the fretting, its all about the middle finger ;)
Amateur videos of unusual things... wasn't that the whole point of Youtube?!
This may have made sense and been good, but the audio is a couple seconds behind the video and pretty much makes it worthless. To illustrate how the movements go with the sound produced with the technique. Sorry.
Canadee I-O is one of my favorite songs. The guitar work is incredible. Do you know what tuning he played it in? And can you play the whole thing? You seem to have his technique figured out.
Nic jone played the Bflat tuning; however you can tune your guitar in C as following : CGCGCE starting from the top string going down ,This tune is commonly used in Scottish and Irish tune. Take care
Bb-F-Bb-F-Bb-C is the tuning, if you type Canadee-i-o into youtube someone else has tried to cover it and it helps give a decent idea of how to play it
the only guy who i can think at being better at doing both at once would be martin simpson but thats just my humble opinion, i urge any nic jones fans to check him out
cheers. Flick out with the middle finger to hit the D-string with the main flat part of the fingernail (you dont need long nails to play like this), then pull it straight back in. Use palm muting. Sounds much better with new strings too :)
Audio and video sucks. Try pointing the camera at the fretting hand, but before that, try buying a camera that doesn't suck ass.
