I just had a week's worth of lessons and within two days I was consistently popping up and by the end of the week, starting to turn. I'm now looking to buy my first board and I was wondering if the 6'8 funboard would be good (so I can progress with it) or is it maybe too small? (I'm 57kg and 1m70)
@cheese123321123321 i got an 8 foot surfboard at costco for $100 last week. if you wanna spend that its a great way to get your confidence back. but it is foam....
hey i started surfing on a hired board that i think was a 7'3 BIc and i need help to get a board of my own but i want something that is like a shortboard. can someone give me some makes that are about the 7ft hight with lots of volume that are like a shortboard but that will make it easyer to learn to surn on in the UK, which has quite small waves
Thanks heeeps! butt... i just realised that i think it might be a gun? its only 19 1/2' wide...? and it goes to a point up the top? is this still alright to learn on?
hahaha ok thanks mate! i'll be going out about 5 times a week... and i read somewhere if you go out 3-4 times a day then you could learn on anyboard so thanks heeps! :)
haha nah i love it :D i went out yesterday for the first time on the 7'4, and one of my mates was out there who has been surfing since he was 3 and hes 25 now.. so he helped me alot! but yeah i got up :D im now going down the wave sidewards.. not carving though haha hopefully next time :D
kind of repetitive.. Wished the guy was a bit more scripted before started taping. Youtube was a big help to finish watching this clip. The same clip on its own Expertvillage server was awful slow.
i surfed for 2 weeks and i wana surf more. well i want to buy a board..i think ill choose a funboard. i want to know: should i buy it from 2 had?? please ANSWER HELP!
Well you should have a surf board by now, but I would go new because you don't know how much the second hand board has been cracked dinged or how long it has been in the sun for, if it has been cracked and not treated right dry rot can happen and that just ruins your board and you'll have to get a new one basically. It sounds racist but the whiter the better in surfing terms, because it shows if it is used a bunch or not. well hopefully this helped, and if a friend is looking fo a board tell him
I just bought a 7ft2" fun board (Tiki Sumo)..I was just wondering, is this to big of a board to place a tail pad on...or are tailpads just ment for boards in the 6ft region?
I'm thinking I'll get one of these funboards. Would LOVE something inbetween a short and long board to start with as I don't want a long board.

no you can put a tail pad.
i put one on a 7 foot 6 inch fun board
mostly just to get used to where your foot placement should be.
