i just got a little boy peach faced love bird. the owners had bought him at birth with another male and the other male just passed away( they had them from birth which is almost a year now.) sould i try to get him a female?

when you let them out of the cage, how do you finally get them back in, mine were out for more than 16 hours, and we had to catch them in a net to get them back in, i dont want to let them out any more because of this, there not tame... its so hard to get them tame.

Our guys are fed two times: in the morning and the afternoon. If they want supper, they go back into their cage, and we only give them enough food to last them a few hours. They are not starved, but this is how they eat in the wild. They eat, let their crops empty, fly to another spot, eat again, and then go to bed.

@stargazrt4 this is so useful to know!! its so hard to get my baby in to his cage after a playful afternoon he always ends up angry in his perch,... 2 minutes after hes running down the cage just like the one in the vid trying to get one of my brothers to let him out again LOL

haha my budgie does something similar. he goes completely nuts. his feathers fluff and his eyes constrict and he hangs on the bars and stuff. then when i let him out he flies around like a bullet and flaps his wings like a nut when hes not flying.
