  • yes, fannie is gay.

  • The head biker in this story was played by Jonathan Frakes, aka "Number One" from ST-TNG

  • a very funny show.I remember it well!early 81

  • i remember this show in the 80s... Barbara Eden was so sexy and her daughter on this show was kinda fat and tomboyish

  • the opening scene makes it seem that harper valley was near cincinnati. i used to live around cincinnati, and yet i don't recall a place called harper valley. maybe it was a fictional town. by the way, that part of ohio has a lot of the southern accent

  • This looks like Desperate Housewives meets Designing Women.

Isn't Fannie Flag gay? OR am I thinking of someone else.....

  • @flenif2247 no... you are probably thinking of Carol Leifer.. she was most recently on the celebrity apprentice... i believe you might be confusing both actresses.

  • @flenif2247 Yes, Fannie Flagg is a lesbian...

  • @shmuli9

I had never heard that before! Thank you very much for the information!

  • I vaguely remember this series and it was this that had introduced me to the song also.

  • I remember watching this as a kid! It went from Harper Valley PTA to just Harper Valley

  • I love this show & this episode. Please upload the rest of it!

  • And this is the ONE episode I remember! Can you post the whole episode?

  • Old "Lonesome" George Gobel. He was a pretty funny guy and a decent actor and comedian.

  • why doesnt this come out on dvd i want to see it so bad

  • @chowdersbiggestfan93 You may be able to download the series through vuze.com

  • around a season and a half

  • fannie flagg is rather hot

  • Brings back memories!

  • I wonder how much of it survived the fire.....really sad.

  • what fire?

  • I wish this show was on DVD.

At 2:15 you can see what would later become Wisteria Lane. :)

  • it sure is. are those the same houses i wonder

  • The house directly behind them at 2:15 at the end of the street is still there, but its painted blue.

The house to the left of them is no longer there. It was replaced by the house from Leave It to Beaver for the movie remake. And its still there, as the deceased Mary Alice's house.

  • The house in the background of Uncle Buster is Gaby's house. Its just been renovated and painted yellow.

The infamous Munster house to the right, which was hidden in S1 of DH, was renovated for S2 and is now blue.

And I'm pretty sure the mansion at 2:01 used to be on the same street, at the end near where Edie's house is now, but was torn down before DH went into production.

  • there is also a website where u can see all the old houses from 60's sitcoms, including the one Barbara Eden was on. just google 1164 Morning Glory Circle

  • OMGosh!!!! You are so right....

    LOL

  • your not the only one

  • this is a tv show that I would really like to

    see come out on dvd

  • I liked the original version of the theme better when it was Harper Valley PTA...I remember the show from when I was little.

  • I actually liked this version a lot better than the slow one.

  • This is another version of the second season opening from early 1982 and this time it is not Barbara Eden who is singing the theme song. Mills Watson is now in the opening credits as Uncle Buster.

  • Barbara is the best

  • Omg Fannie is FABULOUS!!! More please!
