the opening scene makes it seem that harper valley was near cincinnati. i used to live around cincinnati, and yet i don't recall a place called harper valley. maybe it was a fictional town. by the way, that part of ohio has a lot of the southern accent
@flenif2247 no... you are probably thinking of Carol Leifer.. she was most recently on the celebrity apprentice... i believe you might be confusing both actresses.
The house directly behind them at 2:15 at the end of the street is still there, but its painted blue.
The house to the left of them is no longer there. It was replaced by the house from Leave It to Beaver for the movie remake. And its still there, as the deceased Mary Alice's house.
The house in the background of Uncle Buster is Gaby's house. Its just been renovated and painted yellow.
The infamous Munster house to the right, which was hidden in S1 of DH, was renovated for S2 and is now blue.
And I'm pretty sure the mansion at 2:01 used to be on the same street, at the end near where Edie's house is now, but was torn down before DH went into production.
there is also a website where u can see all the old houses from 60's sitcoms, including the one Barbara Eden was on. just google 1164 Morning Glory Circle
This is another version of the second season opening from early 1982 and this time it is not Barbara Eden who is singing the theme song. Mills Watson is now in the opening credits as Uncle Buster.

Old "Lonesome" George Gobel. He was a pretty funny guy and a decent actor and comedian.
