  • Ick... I hate all the flashing lights. Just like a carnal rave. YUCK!! Are we forgetting the POINT of worship as Christians? Our focus should be on JESUS on our Father in heaven, NOT being distracted by flashing lights, ugh. Leeland seems un-phased by it though and that's what I like about him. This kid knows what worship is REALLY about! It is NOT about having fun or a good time, it is about WORSHIP! ADORATION OF OUR CREATOR and Jesus who DIED FOR US!! Selah!

  • @graceoverall That is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard. You just said praising the Lord isn't supposed to be fun. Well I find it fun, I love it! I think you arent looking at worship the way God wants us to because he wants us to worship him with our hearts and if we do it most certainly will be fun. Stop discouraging people from enjoying Gods greatness through music. Ps. 98:4 "Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise."

  • @QuickSlowDown Sorry if you misunderstood. If you please notice that I said that worship is about adoring our creator! I completely agree with Ps. 98:4, but what I was trying to say is that many these days have taken worship too light heartedly and made it about having fun WITHOUT really communing in spirit with our Lord.

  • @QuickSlowDown Remember what Jesus said, "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him." John 4:23 KJV. This was the reason for my comment. I only want to encourage my brothers and sisters in Christ to remember our savior when they worship. Let's REALLY, I mean REALLY, get our hearts into it and think about the words we're singing to our God! :)

  • @graceoverall I agree with you about the true worshippers bit, I mean it is too bad that there are a lot of people who aren't truly worshipping the Lord the way he deserves to be. But we all fall short of his glory and fail. I don't think the lights and stuff is the reason for this though. Thanks for elaborating and not just lashing back like a lot of people love to do when their opinion or statement is challenged. I agree people need to remember him. Thanks for the chat :)

  • @QuickSlowDown hehe *grins* what kind of Christ follower would I be if I lashed back at you, hehe. That's not love. Oh, and I guess I came off kind of strong in my original comment and didn't really make my point clear which was that the world IS WATCHING us Christians. So when we act like them (not necessarily exactly, but similar), what is left to set us apart as God's "royal priesthood?" We are to be a "peculiar people" afterall (1 Peter 2:9). God Bless you Daniel :)

  • @graceoverall why would you worship if you were not having a good time? Do you think it should be boring?

  • @wd1250 The issue is not whether it's boring or not, but whether we are worshiping in spirit and in truth. I refer back to my previous comment and John 4:23 again ;) I'll be honest, there are very few contemporary Christian songs that I find attractive. I LOVE the hymns. There's nothing more at the center of God's heart. Traditional hymns are far closer to scriptural worship. I do like much of Hillsong, Robin Mark, and a few others who have a proper heart of worship in their lyrics. But few.

  • I've liked alot of great bands in the past (mostly christian) but none of them have touched me the way leeland has!! I think there are talented artists & there are anointed ones & I believe leeland is one of them, & god has given these guys a gift & he is using them to touch many lives, thank you leeland for sharing gift with us!!

  • i want to see them someday

  • oh my gosh. they're perfect. i love it.

  • I bet Leeland sleeps with a CareBear.
