Yes, her family emigrated when she was very young.
She grew up in a Melbourne suburb, went to school here, at 15 was "discovered" when working in a hair dressing salon, sang at the 100's of local dances, made her recordings here, appeared onTV shows, went to the US and was married and recorded, while there, wrote for Go Set magazine. Came back to here to live and work here as Ian "Molly" Meldrum's PA, and eventually passed away here.
