i completly understand this but i dint create a box i made the top of u box that somewhat flothing and made it twice as big and then placed one magnetix at the top and used strings to hold it down from flying away. the box is simple but you should try making 4 piramids and place one magnetix in the center

You need to find out the polarity of the ends and set them up in a way that they repel each other

a compass would tell u which poles are which: if the N is attracted to the side then that side is south pole if its S attracted to that side then that side is N... easy

Setting it up was kind of complicated at first since I didn't have the instructions, I figured it out on my own.

I don't remember quite well now, but it is based on "oposite poles attract and similar poles repulse each other". You "add" poles to obtain the largest attraction / repulsion possible by joining the little tubes in a sequence

There is no need to know what pole is + and what pole is -. Just pick anyone as minus. Then get a pole next to it, if it is repelled, then that's another minus, if not it is a plus.

Is that simple.
