@fragilenin Really? Because they don't have the same lyrics, they were released at different times, and Stars has an intro/outro. Its minimal what is similar about them. "Kill Her Burn her" in Stars sounds like "Why can't I glow" in Star Above. And "We will bash her/ I will catch her/ And I can't believe/ How you've been deceived" in Stars sounds like a different line in Star Above.

Performace is really important to me too but they are not performing. They aren't in front of an audience, instead focusing in on the relevance and energy in every note. They sound amazing here;totally jammin and playin together so well. You can see the chemistry in their movments/facial expressions.Beck is awesome! His guitar sounds incredble! Manuel's vibe is so intrancing sometimes! So badass! Durijah is kickin ass! The drums are so intense and Daryl sounds mean! I am so glad to be a GJ fan!

I love how they can just play and make it seem like its relaxing therapy for them. You hear too much shit from kids at hardcore shows about the visual appearance of a band and their physical actions during shows. (guitar spins / crabcore breakdowns w/e). And you see bands trying to deliver when it shouldn't even matter. Music is an art of sound and audio, if you want to watch something that caters to your visual thirst then go watch a fucking fashion show. Much respect for GlassJaw.

Music can be just as much visual as it is auditory. I don't have a problem with bands just playing, but visuals are interesting.

Ever heard of David Bowie? He's a genius. He was way better than glassJAw in his day and he had visuals at all of his live performances.

P.S. I'm not dissing glassJAw. I love them. But David Bowie was a lot better.

Nothing really, they're going to act it out however they want / feel while performing and if you're really a fan of the music you aren't going to be left wanting just because they didn't throwdown and do some shitty spin kicks on stage, thats all I was saying. Theres a bunch of daryl haters on here that saw GJ on that leg of the brand new tour a year or two ago complaining about that.

But anyway, I've never gotten to see glassJAw live so I don't really know if they're any good or not. I went to see a show on that Brand New tour last year but glassJAw wasn't at that particular one. It was just Brand New, Thrice, and The Builders And The Butchers. glassJAw joined the tour later. So I can't really say anything either way.

An example of a visually performance based artist would be something more along the lines of an actor or something. These guys aren't actors they're just being human, themselves, and pouring into the music. Idk, I just think its pointless and unfair to care or bother too much about the aesthetic in this situation.
